Even though many in Britain and some in the US don't feel the same, IMO an attack on Britain is an attack on the US. Even though we have our issues with trade deals, funding the UN, different political opinions and the occasional argument, Britain is still one of if not our strongest allies.
No Bush had Iran on it's knees, to the point the Iranian people started a uprising in 2009. Obama wouldn't get off his ass to support the Iranian people and sat back while the leaders of the uprising miraculously disappeared. Then the inept POS did away with the sanctions and gave the regime no telling how many dollars to make them a threat to the entire world. And what did Obama get for all of that, a promise to delay nuclear weapons development for ten years without much in the way of inspections.

Don't forget that the Iranians have been allowed to develop advanced IR-6 and IR-8 centrifuges with everyone's blessing. There's no reason that they needed to develop those centrifuges unless they want to very efficiently enrich uranium to bomb capable levels. Their IR-1 and IR-2 centrifuges are perfectly capable of enrichment to the 3% needed for nuclear fuel.

It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out. UK has been trying to keep the Iran deal afloat. I'm not sure how the UK can take no action against Iran, but if they don't, will Iran take additional action until they get a response from UK? If UK responds with force, it will be against the Revolutionary Guard. Where does that lead? If they implement sanctions against Iran in response, does Iran retaliate with additional action? Where does that lead?

President Bush had an opportunity to put Iran's nuclear program back 15 years and chose instead to do nothing...........I was not a President Obama fan, but , by the time he took office, the only way to slow down their program was through negotiations, and despite what you want to believe , the JCPOA like most deals is a compromise, it did not totally dismantle their program, but it put such limits and inspection and tracking protocols in place, that we would have at least a years warning of their development of a weapon, now, we will have ZERO warning.

His economic response was impotent with it's "new normal" bullshit. Trump shoved Obama's magic wand up his ass. Trump's problem is he accepted the massive spending appropriations given him by both Ryan and Pelosi and the Congress in general. Nobody in government wants to ween us out of our gluttony.

It almost seems like these unescorted ships are bait at this point. They have bombed ships, shot down drowns and seized civilian ships from our number one Ally. Looks like we are just letting out rope to see if they hang themselves in the eyes of enough countries to form a coalition.
