Initial US employment reports overstated by 439,000 jobs in 2023

Increased government spending and hiring have padded 2023 year-end unemployment numbers by over 400,000, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

That's about 37K fewer jobs per month than government reported. I guess at this point we need to subtract abut 40K jobs from every monthly report to have more accurate data.

But they can count votes with 100% certainty, yea okay. If the irony weren't so sad we have a government that can't accurately count a number that probably bounces between 50,000 & 700,000 each week.
