So I heard this political gossip on the radio: It sounds like Omarosa gets fired by Kelly, demands an audience with Biff, Kelly says, "No going to the Principal on this one" so she storms the personal quarters to appeal to Biff, and the SS throws her out? Is that the gist of it?

Quite a bit to unpack here. First, her credentials are winning a reality tv show? How surprising that she didn't work out. She had a job in the WH.

How many more firings of his cadre? This is his judgment of talent? Her. The Mooch. Bannon(hiccup), Spicey, Flynn...

The White Trash House is more compelling than any tv series or movie.

Next week, we will hear about missing classified files appearing out thin air in the White House living quarters. And Biff will take up cigar smoking and will moisten his next smoke by gently inserting it inside an intern’s vagina. And maybe unload a spooge bomb on her dress, which she will surely keep as a souvenir.

Can it get any better than that?

Oh yeah.

What's wrong w the potus having a classified file?

It already is my man.... Team GOP just put everything they had into supporting a pedophile.
Alleged. But whatever. We were talking about White House drama.

With regard to the Moore candidacy, lets review. Trump supported Luther Strange. So did Mitch McConnell. McConnell’s senate PAC gave zero money to Moore, if I’m not mistaken. The mainstream conservatives supported Brooks.

The voters chose Moore. When the SHTF with the 14 year old girl allegations, McConnell promised an ethics investigation. Somebody else, can’t remember who, was talking expulsion as soon as Moore was sworn in if he was elected.

Trump did indeed record a robo call for Moore. And he made a last minute endorsement. I’m probably forgetting some other stuff but that’s what I remember off the top of my head and I’m not interested in researching this topic.

Not what I’d call putting everything they had into this candidate. Not by a long shot.

In the end, GOP dollars and the POTUS endorsement of Moore meant they owned his candidacy. Try and deflect all you like. Team GOP endorsed an accused pedophile. Period. Full stop. Try as you might you won't change that.

So Trump sided with the “establishment” members of the “Uniparty” until a last minute Hail Mary to his adoring base.

Weird behavior for an anti-establishment President that just tells it like it is.

Dude, you made an inaccurate statement. I’m not deflecting anything, just making sure we all understand what actually happened.

Not sure I’m following you completely here. Three guys in the republican runoff: Mo Brooks, Luther Strange and Roy Moore. Trump endorsed Strange. This was baffling to me. Trump backed McConnell’s puppet. Not sure what his motive was, but he did. A total “I love the swamp” move if there ever was one.

I am unable to understand how Moore beat the other two guys. I don’t get it.

You’re actually tracking pretty well...getting there

Trump’s endorsement of Strange (McConnell’s puppet)...a total “I love the swamp” move...isn’t all that baffling once you realize Trump is a complete establishment, love the swamp, kind of guy at heart. He’ll party with any whore that might advance his brand...it’s not about policy or the American people..it’s about the everloving Trump dollar.

I was wondering if it was more of a kiss and make up move more than anything. Trump has dissed McConnell in the past and I was thinking this might have been a sort of olive branch move. But I obviously have no idea, just speculating, so I kept that to myself until now.

I’m not as cynical on the guy as you are overall, though.

Yet.

That’s not accurate. And I already explained why.

I tried to find how much money the Republican Party spent on Moore. No success. But there is this:

https://psmag.com/news/tracking-the-money-in-the-alabama-senate-race
Many of the usual major Republican spending groups—including the Senate Leadership Fund, the National Republican Senatorial Committee, and the Chamber of Commerce—are missing among Moore's donors, MapLight notes. But some prominent conservative groups and individuals, including the Alabama Republican Party and Steven Bannon, the former White House chief strategist, have donated to Moore.

And again, Trump did give Moore a verbal endorsement a week or so out. And he gave another endorsement by default before that; i.e., Doug Jones sucks and we can’t have him in this seat). Maybe there was more but that’s all I remember. I pay zero attention to twitter but I am aware Trump made at least one pro-Moore tweet.

Anyway, I’d call all this a rather half-assed backing of the candidate. Maybe even a third or quarter assed. But surely not everything they had. McConnell hates Moore. And vice versa. Moore was on record as saying he would not vote for McConnell as majority leader. That right there is a huge sign that Moore was not going to get anywhere near full support. And I believe McConnell, along with most of the GOP, is DELIGHTED that Moore was defeated.

Whether it is on purpose, rationalization, or (as you say) lack of actual knowledge, you are significantly underselling the amount of backing Moore got from Trump. It started at least 2 weeks prior to election day and he spoke out for him multiple times. In addition, he recorded robo calls to go out to Alabama voters. Moore's campaign (likely after approval from Trump) hitched their wagon to Trump and made it very clear that a vote against Moore was a vote against Trump. They focused on pushing Trump's major talking points through (Immigration reform, the Wall, Tax reform, etc).

The GOP was a bit more tepid in their support for Moore. They held out longer before endorsing him and didn't do much other than stating that they were now endorsing him as a candidate. Many GOP members of Congress continued to express doubts about him when asked for their opinions.

Wasn’t the runoff in September? And you’re saying around 2 weeks before the election is when Trump starts pushing Moore? I just don’t see that as giving it all you’ve got to cross the finish line. This was not a balls to the wall effort to elect Moore.

By the way, I had previously referenced the robo calls. Maybe you missed it. But I resent the implication that I’m being dishonest on this when I’m doing my best to be factual.

Well, I suppose it is a matter of opinion if the following is "half-assed":
Hi, this is President Donald Trump and I need Alabama to go vote for Roy Moore. It is so important. We’re already making America great again. I’m going to make America safer, and stronger, and better than ever before, but we need that seat and we need Roy voting for us. I’m stopping illegal immigration and crime, rebuilding a stronger military and protecting the second amendment and our pro-life values. But if Alabama elects liberal Democrat Doug Jones, all of our progress will be stopped cold. We already know Democrat Doug Jones is a puppet of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer, and he will vote with the Washington liberals every single time.

Democrat Jones is soft on crime, weak on immigration, supports abortion, he’s bad for our military and bad for our vets. We don’t want him, and he also, by the way, wants higher taxes. Roy Moore is the guy we need to pass our “Make America Great Again” agenda. Roy is a conservative who’ll help me steer this country back on track after eight years of the Obama disaster. Get out and vote for Roy Moore. His vote is our Republican Senate, and it’s needed. We need Roy to help us with the Republican Senate. We will win and we will make America great again.

A week or two before the election? When the runoff occurred in September? Where was the “everything they had” effort to win up to that point?

You contended that Team GOP gave it all they had to win. They simply didn’t. Most of Team GOP is happy that Moore lost, including me. Why you can’t apparently see that amazes me. But whatever.

Can we talk about something else now?

Cut 'em some slack. Left-wing rage is all the rage these days so just let 'em have the last word and even scream at the sky if need be. Keeps 'em from joining antifa and black lives matter and instigating physical violence against people.

Small victories are all OMG Team Never Trump have now. You'll have to let DA take his time with this one. He knows there's legislative stuff coming up that won't bode well for his Dems. He needs to savor this.
