Important day re: separation of church and state

On this day in 1802, Thomas Jefferson wrote a response to a letter from the Baptist Association in Danbury, CT. The Baptists sought assurance that the new constitution would not force them into a state controlled church. Jefferson's letter used the term "wall of separation between Church & State" for the 1st time. He has been taken out of context to limit religious expression, when his intent was to limit state control.

I would argue that climatology meets all the tenets of religion these days and should be separated from the government.

To think our founding fathers would approve of satan statues next to the Ten Commandments based on their own words is absurd. Change the law if that’s what you want, but that’s not what they intended.
