I’m sure it seems that way, @windriverrange, but surely we have a right to ask the question considering how often candidate Trump assured us he would end the war in 24 hours and it would be easy. I think it is a reasonable expectation for him to say when the 24 hour stopwatch starts ticking.

Shake your head all you want. It was your man that said he could do it, and so far he's been a big fat failure at one of his most often repeated boasts. Even in his first term he bragged about how he could easily stop our stupid wars, and to date he hasn't stopped a single one. And now he's started one in Yemen. Yeah, I'd think you'd admit he's been dismal failure if you were honest.
Called hyperbole....anyone really familiar with what was going on there knew it was BS to say that or even think it would happen in 24 hours, 24 days or even 240 days. But on a scale 1-10 of reasons why I voted for Trump, that particular point would rate at about .0001. As long as Ukraine wants to keep fighting then they should be given as many arms and ammo as they can use. Kill as many of those russian bastards as possible and hopefully other factors not related to battlefield situations will cause the russians to turn on putin and end the war.
Well just consider it the same way you ignore the all the facts of October 7th. Only difference, hyperbole versus the viscous animalistic actions of a group of people you support and defend despite knowing they are evil. I'm good with mine, you good with yours? There's the Bearcat we've come to know and expect: deflect away from criticism of your lord and savior. Make it about *anything* except his "hyperbole" (read: failure), turn the gaze away from your lord and savior's limitations, because a true lord and savior has no limitations, so whatever you do don't contemplate that your lord and savior is really nothing but a loud-mouthed blowhard.
Yes, I know it’s called hyperbole. Do you think hyperbole is an appropriate tactic for a politician to use in an election? Once it’s used by a politician should the electorate assume every word out of the politician’s mouth is hyperbole? At which point we should dismiss everything he says as a lie?
