That's not at all true. Ask around they definitely are in the mix.
I hear you and respect you but they have zero shot. I will donate to Wrestling for Life if they get either one. I'll even let you name the amount within reason. Both of these kids need a high end RTC. Brands hasn't built one. Secondly, the Brands training philosophy doesn't jive with Bo at all, and Jax a little.

I wouldn't just make up that they've a shot. They definitely do. And Wrestling for Life can always use donations

I honestly think Iowa has little shot at either, unless the money can’t be walked away from.
Huge NIL to incoming freshmen is a mistake imho regarding team dynamics. As an example, look at Jimmy Gulibon of PSU. 4 time PA state champ. A can't miss kid. In today's market, he may have commanded high NIL. Ended up placing 5th as a sophomore and that's it. His is a cautionary tale about spending money before you know what the product can do on the mat.

I don’t think they are in much of a play? Is it possible for him, yes, but I think it’s one of the two OSU’s.
Which recruit are you referring to in this post? I truly don't see anyone who has high end FS aspirations going to Iowa until they fix their RTC issues. Who is training with Jax and Bo at Iowa?

At Iowa you have Spencer and Ayala sub-157

At Ohio State, you have Mendez and Logan

At OSU you have Gilman, Kennedy, Fix, and RBY

At PSU, you have Bartlett, SVN, Nick Lee, Kasak and Zain

That's why I stated to west2east yesterday that I wasn't feeling Iowa for either guy.

I was talking about Jax.

Which, I really think Jax has more upside talent wise than Bo.

I really, really want him here. If I had millions, he’d have one of them.

Sometimes I think the recruiting thread and the RTC thread should be combined because they go hand in hand. Within two years, if you get Kyle, you'll be the second best RTC (overtaking Cliff Keen) and rising. That's a freaking big deal to the recruits we are discussing.

Guys PSU is getting both of them. Since the big weekend, Cael and the boys were at workouts & home visits. When the home visits start we know what happens.
They are PA Boys and won’t be leaving. Oklahoma is too far away. Stick with the ok boys

I really think the thing that appeals to these kids more for DT than Cael is that these recruits watched DT wrestle and win National Championships and World Championships. They watched DT win on the mat. They were not even born when Cael was winning on the mat. However, they have watched Cael build a dynasty at Penn State as a coach, and that is what may appeal to them more about him. It is going to be very interesting to see how the Class of 2026 pans out for recruiting. Looking forward to some commit announcements, but I am not going to hold my breath on them. I think these guys are doing the right thing by taking their time!

Daton spoke a bit on Dynasty Defined about what Gilman is like a coach/in the room, and I guess he’s really into philosophy now. He’s always been a different kinda cat, but it’s cool to see how much he’s grown. I would reckon he’s a head coach somewhere before too long.

I thought the consensus in May was that Thomas Gilman sucks for actions as a 20 year old. Six months goes by so fast. 🤣

I knew you guys would love the new and improved version. He is a great coach. You're lucky to have him, and he will be a hot commodity some day. If OSU makes great strides, I would expect Iowa to interview him along with Spencer in 2029.
