A pall has been cast over Iowa polling results. No polling results in after 12 hours. Penn State and others are questioning who is #1 after this caucus chaos. Russians may be involved. Corn prices have plummeted. Iowa may have to pull out of the team race emulating the actions of their 133 pounder.

I wish the Russians or Ukrainians would hurry up and tell us who is No. 1

Not to jump ahead 2 weeks but am I correct in that we will not be favored in one match against them? Will be several good matchups but could be a very long day for us.

we could win at 141 and 149.. Hone is pretty tough and has beaten some tough guys already this year, boo is one of several guys who could win 149.. sadly, that's about it.. we get killed at 125 and 133 (maybe Desanto will still be out..) out pointed at 157 and 165, beat up at 174, out pointed at 184 and 197, beat up at hwt

Pretty accurate based on the rankings. If we wrestle okay we will be stomped. What I want to see is exceptional and inspirational. I would love to see Wittlake upset Marinelli, and Montolvo to upset Assad and Witcraft to build on his upset and push Desanto. But this only occurs when wrestlers are inching forward for a period of time and then they jump levels and then instead of falling from there they continue to inch forward. I hope Witcraft even wrestles a little better against Oklahoma and then a little better against Iowa. Without this inching forward when you get an upset often its more based on your favored opponent wrestling a poor match than you wrestling so good. Then you get beat soundly in the rematch.
When Boo got upset by Mauler the reason I think that it happened was because he did not separate from Mauler through out the whole match. He got the takedown and lead and never separated. He needed to get a second takedown which he never got. He needed to work harder on top and get a turn but he didn't. He got in good on 3 or 4 takedown attempts but seemed to not finish mostly because when inside he seemed confused about which leg to secure. Also because I think Mauler has very good hips and quick powerful sprawl. I rewatched the match and when he lost the takedown in the 3rd he did battle hard to get away and was very close several times. Now what happened in overtime he just failed to react at all to the takedown attempt.
With Wittlake I thought he should have majored Mo., teched Airforce and majored Wyoming. This development is vital if we are to win 35. Let me give you an example of this inching forward, jumping levels and continuing to grow would be Penn. St Nick Lee. He wrestled Mitch McKee who is ranked 5 well Nick Lee pinned him and has majored, teched or pinned every opponent except 1 where he won a regular decision. 25 months ago Gfeller pinned him Lee in the scuffle finals and it was not a fluke Gfeller manhandled him with a bow and arrow for the pin. We must have better than okay or close to good as a team or we will continue to get what we have been getting.
