Need advice...

My daughter is in elementary school in Edmond...and I'm crushin on her teacher (we'll call her Jane)

Have exchanged ~50 emails with her that range from my daughter's behavior/snack responsibility to jane's family's tailgate spot for gameday in Stilly. She went to the Sugar Bowl and actually sent me a very benign email from NO describing the scene since I wasn't able to go. She lives 3 minutes from my house.

Is it kosher to ask her out after the school year is over? I've asked a couple girl (only) friends and got conflicting responses. I'm not gonna say what grade my daughter is in but let's just say she has at least one more year at her current school, so I don't want to be known as the creeper dad. Jane's probably 12-15 yrs younger than me...but I think I'm reading the deal right. Did I mention she's double cute?

I'd love to post a picture of her so you guys can see why I'm a bit smitten...cant do it at this point. If it ever got back to her, would probably blow any opportunity I have of making the deal happen (assuming there really is a chance). Obviously there's a pretty decent chance someone on here knows her...OSU grad. I think she has older brothers too.

She didn't text/message (she emailed) me but she could have. She has my number because I filled out a form for her the first week or so of school...informational purposes I found out she was going to NOLA so I asked her to shoot me an email and give me the lay of the land. They stayed at the team hotel.

I say do it now. No need to wait. Even if she favors your kid and gives her good grades - - or if things blow up in your face and the teacher fails your kid - - elementary school grades don't mean squat in the overall scheme of things. Also, Edmond has a very liberal transfer policy so if things go to shht the kid can always go to any of the other 20 or so elementary schools in Edmond.

2. Then at her house this evening with another thoughtful gift.
3. Then a few texts before bedtime telling her she's totally hot.
4. Then a nice box of hot donuts first thing in the morning -- 5 - 5:15 a.m. so she knows you're an early bird that's out earning and making it happen early.
5. Then follow her to school, just to make sure she gets there safely.
6. More flowers in the morning.
7. A nice pizza delivered to the teachers lounge for lunch.
8. Now you set the hook. A shoe polish or shaving cream-written marriage proposal on her windshield when she walks to her car after a long day is a pleasant surprise for any teacher.

She should give you some feedback by this point.

Atta boy. Now tighten it up -- maybe a little bumper nudge at an intersection. That kills two birds with one stone: it lets her feel some energy and it helps firmly establish intimacy early on when expectations are being set.

Sometimes it's best to get good advice you don't like.

Stop doing this and don't tell her about it until you are in a "relationship." At that point, it will most likely sound endearing and not super creepy.

First of all I don't know you but in the OP you never mentioned either sides marital status. Secondly you must meet up with her at the spring game for a quick convo. Its a good place to interact outside of school and your computer.
