I know most all of you guys have attended many games at BPS (and Rustoleum), so this question is 3-fold.

1. What was the capacity of old Lewis Field at its maximum?
2. Keeping in mind there were many protesters under the trees in the photo below, could all of them in this pic fit into the seating at Lewis Field?
3. What about at the Boone--would they fit in there?

I know this is a softball meat pitch for you wiseacres on here so go ahead with the fat women jokes if you must. But after that I would really like to know if these <50K?? could all finds seats at Lewis and/or BPS. Or in half of Michigan Stadium (photo shopped aerial)?

Mucho gracias,
CU

how does the number of people attending the inauguration corralate to ease with which trump administrations legislation flies through congress and obamas legacy is exposed is libtard folly?

Just judging by the two pictures you posted I would say it looks like the crowd at Michigan's stadium is about twice as big.

According to google maps, it's about 600 feet from 11th Street to the Capitol steps or roughly 1.67 football fields long. Hope that helps with perspective.

If that is the case, it looks like about the same amount in old Lewis Field stands. Each side of the stadium is probably a good 20% larger than the football field. People squeezed into seats allows for more density than standing in groups. So, I have no idea what the official estimate of that crowd is, but I would say 40,000-70,000 as someone who has never estimated a crowd.

That info actually gives me an estimate--I get 92,000 minimum, counting 4 persons to one square yard.

Your estimate is about double what a dense crowd would be. A quick google search says loosely packed crowd is 1 person per 10.5 square feet and a dense one is 1 person per 4.5 square feet. So, 45,000 is more realistic as it is pretty clear they are not packed in real tight.

What pack level is a stadium?

That would be 18 inches between every head. Most shoulders are wider than 18 inches so there's that. Your estimate is way off. What exactly is your point?

So how many inches between heads at BPS?

Not sure, but the stadium provides a measure of verticalness which improves the stackability of the persons involved. In addition, the assigned seating enforces the compactness of the crowd. Both of those factors would be eliminated when evaluating the DC crowd.
