He's done a remarkable job transforming and modernizing our entire athletic program. Without his vision and ability to raise money, many of us would probably not even be on this board as there'd be nothing to talk about. Despite all the problems with coaches, contracts, etc. etc., the dude got the job done and made us relevant! It's not like we have the donor base or deep pockets that many other universities have. As all strong leaders do, he's made mistakes, some large, but they're greatly outweighed by his successes. I don't envy his position but I'm grateful for his accomplishments.
With that said, it's time for the next generation to step in and take it from here. Don't be surprised to see it sooner rather than later...Boone permitting. And, hopefully, he does.
