People keeping their own money from tax cuts will not lead to a recession. Spending cuts cannot happen without having a legitimate place to make the cuts; overemployment is a natural starting place. Tariffs and trade wars are an unnecessary intrusion of markets by a government that will lead to chaos and hasten a recession if there is one.
Dan, tax cuts targeted primarily at 1%ers like me along with spending cuts and elimination of the federal work force will absolutely result in a recession alone. Combine that with a trade war, and it doesn't take a PhD in economics to understand that the economy is going to be screwed.
