I think local communities can decide what they want to honor and over time that what is honored might change. Hope that helps.
Are they being honored for being soldiers in a war for slavery? Then no. If they are being honored for something they invented after the war or something then I say go for it.
I would be really interested to learn about any native symbols that were created specifically for their slave wars.

That is a good point. Chastising slave owners who have been dead for 160 years seems pretty meaningless and wasteful. That time could probably be better spent chastising living people who have squandered the freedom from slavery that was given to them by others.

I think calling confederates losers suffices no need to get into the minutiae. If you lost the civil war or sympathize with the losers of the civil war or honor the losers of the civil war, you are a loser and your loss was in vain defending an evil institution. Regardless of your sex, race, ethnicity, religion or sexual orientation.
In other words you and Dave don’t have the file upload to say anything negative about minorities unless they are vaguely grouped under an umbrella with whites.

now now lets slow down. Even Abe wanted to welcome them back in and rebuild. He knew they were intracule to bringing America out of the war and back to civility. Remember they were industrial based economy thus why they even fought to keep slave labor. Hell some would say the hate towards the South after the war lead to the way the labor force was then set up for the AA freed slaves. That basically is what has lead to the lose of the family life in that culture.
