With what DOGE is exposing on an almost daily basis it's apparent government is not a good steward of public money. Massive overvalued contracts for services that could be provided for pennies on the the dollars spent by government.

In the latest example, $380K a month for ten hours of work per week, insane.

Massively improving government efficiency shouldn't be a divisive political issue but for some reason those who support Democrats are losing their minds and throwing violent temper tantrums. SMFH

The Dem leadership is outraged because those funds are directed to companies and individuals who turn around and support them, so efficiently allocating these monies would be spiting themselves. The dem sheep are just people who've become indoctrinated by schools and media into thinking emotionally rather than critically, and thus are easily triggered simply by tugging on the emotional heart strings.

In other words Democrats are using our tax dollars to get themselves elected and enrich those politically connected to Democrats.

Correct, although to be fair, entrenched Republicans have been doing the same as well. What will be interesting is whether these programmatic cuts that DOGE is identifying result in actual federal budget reductions or if it will just be Republican shell games moving these "savings" into their own desired expenditures. If the next budget comes in at $7T (like Biden's last budget) with a $2T deficit (like Biden's last FY), then Doge will have accomplished nothing.

I use the va.gov site all the time. It's down half the time.

I think the Republicans just released their budget proposal. I skimmed through an article that gave little in detail but said something about raising the national debt another 4 trillion. I'll go back and read it when I have time. I understand massive cuts to spending overnight would cause some huge issues but I'm not to sure I'm on board with raising the debt another 4 trillion.
