So, I am seeing reports that GOT won a handful of Emmy's last night.

But, it seems like the show hasn't had any new episodes in a year or so.

I must be missing something, or confused as to how the system works.

According to npr this morning the reason the emmys were so white is because their cast isn’t diverse enough. The show is about Europe right? I’ve never seen it.

I realize this has zero to do with what you asked and this is the wrong board fir such talk.

I was going to be very surprised if you knew the answer to my actual question.

No the show is not set in Europe or any place else real. That's why its called fantasy. Cast isn't entirely white either.

2018 Emmys covered June 1, 2017 to May 31, 2018. GOT Season 8 aired in July & August 2017.

The series' main influence is England's War of the Roses. Westeros is pretty much the UK and Ireland flipped upside down.

Just like Dunkirk. Nolan was criticized by some ignorant, stupid media about 1940 British soldiers in the movie as being insufficiently multiracial.

Never let historical fact get in the way of social agenda.
