Are we using real numbers or the fudged numbers?
I would suggest that politics is why it was ever a thing in the first place.
For every scientist (person who performs experimental research and actually publishes results in a respected journal) who claims it isn't a thing, you can find hundreds who willl claim that it is.
You can argue about the numbers, if you want., but it is an issue that needs to be addressed in some way, shape or form.
What other group in the world besides conservative Americans think man-made global warming is a hoax?
All of the threats made by AL Gore and other alarmists in the early 2000s did not come to pass.
The truth is 75 scientists signed a document verifying man made global warming, 31,000 scientists signed a similar document disavowing the claim.

I'm skeptical of everything, especially a de facto attempt to redistribute wealth.
The reason there has been so much manipulation of the data is because if it doesn't support global warming the research grants will be diverted to other areas.

US is basically the last to not accept global warming. Its mind boggling. Those that push it isn't real (Inhofe) have a financial stake (to the tune of about 2 million per year). A good chunk of Congressmen are recipients of fossil fuel funds. Koch Brothers and all Large Oil companies fund groups like The Heartland Institute and Americans for Prosperity that push all kinds of "scientific" information and propaganda. Its no secret that ocean temperature has risen and glaciers have been receding faster than before. Just look at Greenland's ice melt. I don't think the world is going to end soon but I do believe we can leave it worse than we found it. Even if its just clean air that's important. I think the evidence is becoming very obvious at this point. At this point Solar power is future. Wind is unreliable with out new battery technology on a large scale to store it. Really Nuclear is the best but no one wants to leave near one of those.

Why do those that believe it is real act like it's not? For example flying air force one and all of its accompanying vehicles from wash dc to Hawaii for vacation? Or Nancy pelosi flying to San Fran every weekend? I love watching David Allen squirm on this question.
What do you want them to do? Outlaw vehicles in Washington DC and travel only by rickshaw?
I think his post suggests some things they could cut down on.
No I want them to Crow and Crow about how ****ing dangerous it is and completely ignore it by indulging themselves in every possible way be creating a carbon footprint bigger than several small states. Also they should give subsidies to "green" companies that their friends/donors and themselves have investment in. And oh oh my favorite thing they should do is come up with a huge scam called cap and trade that can only be participated in by the ultra rich to get more rich. Outside of that, maybe rickshaws.

For the record, I believe in climate change. Just not man made. The climate has been changing during the entire history of the world. I remember in the 70's when they said there might be enough snow in the north pole soon to make the earth move its axis.
