Fvck all your outrage - everybody's. Scalia was a TREMENDOUS dick and took pride in it. Dying didn't change that. He molested the constitution with Bush v. Gore. He was a hateful, thick, selfish, old dick.
These federal judges frequently hang out until they're in a coma. She should've retired under Obama -- totally selfish decision, imo. I hold her jurisprudence in high regard but her personal ambitions to hang around was NOT charming to me. I've had it up to my chin with bitchy old burned-out judges that should've stepped down 20 years ago. The stories I could tell. She refused to step down because she liked the perks and having the job.
That said, she'll probably outlive all you dorks celebrating her bad health. I'll be chipping in for whatever we need to keep her heart beating at least once a day.

Sys...chill out. You’re not helping yourself with this. Scalia was on the good side of plenty of SCOTUS decisions that both libs and cons could celebrate, just as he was on the other side. Same with most SCOTUSes.

One of my neighbors is 81. He’s one of my best friends ever. We help each other out on stuff all the time, as well as just hang out and visit. I have to help him out a little more than I used to on the physical stuff, but he is a sharp guy.

That pretty accurately reflects how opinion writing is done for all the Justices of the Supreme Court. Clerks do almost all the research and actual drafting under supervision and direct of the Justices.
