Fvck all your outrage - everybody's. Scalia was a TREMENDOUS dick and took pride in it. Dying didn't change that. He molested the constitution with Bush v. Gore. He was a hateful, thick, selfish, old dick.

These federal judges frequently hang out until they're in a coma. She should've retired under Obama -- totally selfish decision, imo. I hold her jurisprudence in high regard but her personal ambitions to hang around was NOT charming to me. I've had it up to my chin with bitchy old burned-out judges that should've stepped down 20 years ago. The stories I could tell. She refused to step down because she liked the perks and having the job.

That said, she'll probably outlive all you dorks celebrating her bad health. I'll be chipping in for whatever we need to keep her heart beating at least once a day.

Sys...chill out. You’re not helping yourself with this. Scalia was on the good side of plenty of SCOTUS decisions that both libs and cons could celebrate, just as he was on the other side. Same with most SCOTUSes.

Just drop it and move on.

@Syskatine you could learn a thing or two about civility from this young man. I highly suggest you listen to him.

If Scalia does his job we don't have the Iraq war. No Isis. That decision was a power grab that he led. You see the result.

Posted by @CowboyUp after Justice Scalia passed away. Again, no one called him out for this bullshit. Looks like CowboyUp is a racist!

Double standard alert....

I've seen plenty of unsavory photos/cartoons posted by conservatives on this board. Apparently, you missed all of those. Don't be a snowflake.

I'd never crossover to be on your side.

One of my neighbors is 81. He’s one of my best friends ever. We help each other out on stuff all the time, as well as just hang out and visit. I have to help him out a little more than I used to on the physical stuff, but he is a sharp guy.

If she beats this, then good for her.
I've told you before and I'll say it again: you are my favorite poster. I appreciate the "humanity" you bring to the board.

Not accurate at all. Someone show some video of her actually at a desk reading the pleadings and working on a response and directing her clerks - I'd have no problem saying she's active and working. Absent evidence one way or the other, the mind is free to wander.

How long does the American public have to wait in order to ask for proof of life?

Official statements from the Supreme Court spokesperson that she is alive and well and working from home isn’t enough proof of life for you?

After one missed week (and and upcoming second week) in 25 years?

Seems excessive on your part to me.

in fact, her clerks do all the work and she just signs her name to the finished product.

That pretty accurately reflects how opinion writing is done for all the Justices of the Supreme Court. Clerks do almost all the research and actual drafting under supervision and direct of the Justices.

Notice in my post that I did include 'directing her clerks'.
