This kind of stuff (clothing designers, entertainers for the inauguration, and now... painters) is funny to me because making it professionally as an artist is damned hard to do. There are thousands of more talented people who would be honored to have their work on her walls - regardless of politics. All this does is give someone more deserving and less of a pussy the opportunity to improve her walls.

I'm just a garden variety asshole, but I'd go full asshole on that whiny prick. I'd burn his crap and post the video on youtube. Then I'd do a little traveling and pick up some good pieces from some struggling artists and greatly overpay for them. Then I'd make a public spectacle about the pieces and the artists who were damn proud to have their art hanging on my wall.

That's the beauty of the free market isn't it? Those artists should be able to discriminate against any customer and let the market determine if it was a good or shitty idea.
I don't think arbitrary discrimination by buyers or sellers is consistent with free market capitalism nor is it advantageous to either party. The only real place where state intervention is warranted is in the case of public accommodations (you know places represented as publicly available like a restaurant, a hotel, an art gallery, a public real estate listing, photography studio, etc). Private party transactions, contractual relationships between individuals, etc - discriminate all you want free from the prying eyes and actions of the state.
The artist wants to have his cake and eat it too - get paid for his work and dissociate himself from the buyer. My reaction would be much like Ivankas to the dudes on the airplane, blithely ignoring them rather than giving them a platform by responding.

For the record, I wouldn't agree that a photography studio is an example of public accommodations. My place is by appointment only and the door is locked anytime I'm not expecting a client. It's actually a perfect example of a private party contractual relationship. And although I would happily book a gay wedding, there are plenty of things I would not book for a variety of different reasons.

I would say I have inkling that a public web presence is equivalent to an open door. Meaning if you offer services online you probably have crossed some kind of line.
Caveat: this non attorney who doesn't know crap will later be schooled by those who actually invested time and money in becoming a real JD.
It's a studio - in a rented commercial space with signage that says Tulsa Photography Studio. And by appointment is pretty typical of most studios. Walk-Ins don't happen. Most clients interface through our website instigating a phone consultation / quote and session planning before they ever come to the studio. In many cases the shoot is on location and they don't come to the studio until later for a gallery review.
Anyway, point is it's a legit brick and mortar commercial studio. Still - by appointment only. Business hours are not applicable as most sessions and meetings are booked around lighting and client schedule considerations.

I find the lack of celebrities/singers at the innaguration incredibly transparent. It is obvious the lefties who control their jobs are the most hateful and intolerant scumbags who would ruin anyone in a second if they dared perform or show up. Also there is the whole army of mentally ill people who make death threats and try to ruin lives because of political beliefs. Hopefully he arrests and deports all far left nuts on the same trains that illegal immigrants and radical Muslims are on. Probably won't happen though.

God only knows what the real facts are. He lies so much, and his supporters lie so much, I'm not going to dig into those. Why wouldn't the country be optimistic? Obama has done a hell of a job. Things are good. The economy is good. We are at peace. It would be interesting to look at the state of things at this time during the last Republican administration and make some comparisons.
