The bogus arrest and kangeroo case bankrupted Flynn. He had to sell his house and other assets and he or his family may not want to be in a similar situation. But, he still knows Obama's secrets and Flynn may think he can be just as effective in a advisory role.
Flynn has been acting a bit goofy in recent years. Main thing is in 2020 he posted a video of him and his family taking an 'oath' to Q, and encouraged everyone else to as well. Then 3 years later on Twitter in a Space he was asked about it and he said that never happened (we still have video of him doing it) and claimed it was a 'crackpot' thing (Q).
Remember, obama hired Flynn before Trump did. Not saying Flynn is working with obama, just pointing out he has done some sus things in the past.
