LMAO Democrats just can't help themselves in spending other people's money. California is already facing 165 billion dollar revenue error and this idiot thinks he is going to give those buying EVs a $7500 rebate.

Nothing new.

I don’t know if it’s exactly a tax break for the rich bc there’s a cap, but it’s definitely a tax on the poor.

I own two EVs and will be buying a third, but the tax break is stupid.

I own zero and will be buying zero. There isn’t an EV in existence that suits my needs.

I need vehicles with winter range that can carry 6 people. Maybe someday I’ll need less range and it will make sense, but I’d much rather have an extended range hybrid

That’s too bad. I got my daughter a Tesla 2019 X performance and my son a 2020. I have been driving my daughters for 2 months now since she’s not quite 16, and I love it so much I’m getting an S. If I had your needs I wouldn’t get one. We also have three other gas guzzlers so that is helpful.

My mom has had two Tesla's. First one was the high dollar one but she had an irrational fear some idiot would vandalize it. She sold it and bought the cheaper model and loves it. I've driven both of them and was very impressed with the performance and thought they would make great commuter vehicles but for what I need in a vehicle they are useless. I tow trailers and haul all kinds of stuff with my truck, a EV just doesn't offer anything that would meet my needs. Another draw back of an EV is the cost of insurance, it's high. If an EV is involved in an accident the insurance companies are totaling them at a much higher rate than ICE vehicles, which causes higher premiums. Bottom line, EVs are great for some, not for others. I fall in the others category.

Bet your mom lives in her own house and not an apartment or a rent house.

You sound so poor. I'm glad that my tax dollars could subsidize your multiple car purchases.

I think if you can fit your needs into owning an EV then that is the way to go, no doubt. I'm super impressed with my friends comments on their hybrids, one has a corolla and gets dam near 50 miles per gallon. I'm convinced my second car someday will be a hybrid. I have to have a truck or SUV for the things I do and need to do. Can't really ever see getting an EV though.

The high speed rail line is ample proof that almost nothing those clowns do with tax dollars will work or come in under or on budget.

Hybrid make sense. Alot of sense.

EV's do not.

You would be surprised how affordable Teslas are. I also make too much money to afford the subsidies, so you’re welcome.
I looked that up yesterday....$300,000 of income is the limiting factor for a new one, only $140,000 for any type credit on a used one. That is AGI. Max is $7,500 on a new, $4,000 on a used.

Oh well for save the earth. Politics over the earth. All Dims know is cancel culture. Of course he knows like we do EV’s is just a virtue signaling vehicle when it comes to green energy. If you want an EV, you should buy an EV because you like EV’s.

And the AGI is a modified AGI. Some credits are added back to arrive at the modified AGI. I don’t remember exactly. Makes it a little harder to qualify.
