Very true. It applies to me as well. It's not a recent phenomenon though. It started to move aggressively with the election of Obama and has spiralled out of control.
No doubt. I consider about that time as when the roots of it really took hold.
It's a damn shame. It impacts everybody.
People like @CowboyUp , old and established as he is, need to take leadership in beating back these practices instead of deploying them himself.

now anyone who is a constitutional absolutist is a conservative.

the dave rubin classical liberal ideology is rapidly falling out of favor unfortunately. and it’s too bad because there are a lot of people being dragged away from it because of a sense of team loyalty.
post modern neomarxism is not compatible with clsssic western liberalism which values tolerance diversity of thought and personal liberties.

The whole point of this thread is to open people's eyes to the difference between the Democrat party of even 20 years ago and the current movement that is leading (and splitting) the party today.
There is ABSOLUTELY a difference between what Dems of 20 years ago thought they represented and what the leaders in today's Dem party advocate.

Its a girl who used to consider herself left, but now she is having second thoughts because the left at her university didn't want her to invite a white supremacist to speak on campus. She argues that the person isn't actually a white supremacist and that associating her, the inviter of the debatable white supremacist, with said debatable white supremacist is an unfair smear that could hurt her career. She now wants nothing to do with the left, which is cool.
