I am more of a collegiate fan but noticed that the U.S. team including Alex Dierenger and Jon Morrison is at the Kiev tournament this weekend and Jon Morrison opens with Bileichuk of the Ukraine at 61kg and Alex wrestles Makarashivili of Georgia who was 5th in the 2013 World Championships. Some other US team members there include Megaludis, Nashon Garrett, Joe Colon and Brandon Wright and they are all at 61KG!
At the Gramma y Cerro Pelado tournament several wrestlers from the US are in the finals either for Gold or Bronze including Zach Sanders going for Gold at 57 kg AND going for Bronze Eddie Klimara vs. Palani of Canada. At 61 kg Cody Brewer is going for Gold against many see as unbeatable Bonne Rodriguez of Cuba. Anthony Ramos is going for Bronze at this weight. At 70 KG it is an all USA finals with Jason Chamberlain vs. Frank Maren of the USA and the Bronze medal match is Mario Mason vs. Logan Steiber. Ty Walz is in the Gold medal match at 97 KG vs. Zilmer of the USA. Great to see that Eddie Klimara is still wrestling.
