Not very good news for the country and damn sure not good news for Democrats right before the midterms. Hopefully Republicans sweep control of Congress, Biden comes back to the middle and maybe the recession doesn't turn into a depression.
Better make sure your debt is paid off or as low as possible and you have your money protected. This could be a wild ride.

I'd change your debt statement. Get out of variable debt. Fixed price debt, in and of itself, isn't bad in a high inflation environment. For example, I'd be stupid to accelerate the payoff of my 1.75% mortgage. That said, I still don't think the stock market has bottomed, and that we're in the middle of another dead cat bounce.

Yea you're right on the fixed debt at low rates. I'm more concerned about my kids. We are preparing to be able to protect them in the event they get hammered in a recession. Not so much worried about my son but my daughter being a single mother and just coming out of a divorce is in a venerable position.
