Florida taught woke Disney a lesson

Anti business?
So Disney wades into politics and says its good for business. Politics punches back and they complain when business goes down.

Its like a guy walks in the bar, walks straight over to your wife and plants a big one her. Then that guys cries fowl when his knose is broken, and says its all your fault for bringing your wife to the bar to begin with.

Yup sounds like great legal and business strategy to me. I think I'll take my wife to the bar and see what happens.

I'd love to buy iger a drink. Maybe redirect his train of thought. 😉

Oops, missed check on a box. This may not go well for Disney. Always cross your t's and dot your i's.

"The last requirement of Florida law, however, that all affected property owners be given notice by mail, was skipped entirely, according to sources familiar with Disney’s proceedings. The missed mandate means the company would have to restart the process for its 11th-hour resolution to be valid."

Not a end judgment as of yet, but it doesn't look good for Disney already. The state has yet to take the gloves off as well.

Yep. You know all those notices you get from the commissioner of conservation for unitization where you own a 0.00000000001 decimal interest, or from a federal or state district court regarding a class action where you have about $50 at stake? There’s a reason they send those out.

Lawyers are people to. They make mistakes. This one is going to cost, but to be honest it doesn't matter. Disney was not going to win this fight, ever. Corporations trying to be government to avoid government, never ends well for the corporation. By nature, government could never allow it, under any circumstances. While I find the concept to be interesting, the outcome is preordained.

I'm laughing at attorneys that are saying they have nothing to worry about with AI. AI wouldn't have made such a simple mistake. :)
