I'll never, ever, ever understand why any thinking person would enable a cultural world-view that exploits and degrades women at every level, is theocratic, senselessly conservative, ruthlessly restricts speech, and openly expresses contempt for people that don't agree with their religion. The stories about the marauding gangs of immigrants finger banging women in Germany are just awful. See what happened in Egypt to that CBS reporter? Ferguson and Compton in their darkest days didn't even do that.

My iranian friends here are wonderful people. My gawd, I've had some awful experiences with middle easterners though and the European model of immigration right now doesn't look all that successful.

Even though it is a cognitive anomaly on his part, sys's position is the truly progressive one. If you hate the Christian right you would think the Neanderthal religion of Islam would be exponentially disgusting. I can't comprehend the coddling of Muslims by liberals. Basically if you are brownish you can literally get away with murder in the eyes of liberals.

Well, I'm also not for wholesale labeling of anyone that's muslim as anti-american and a terrorist. I'm equally dismayed when conservatives overreact to muslims.
Iranians aren't Arabs. They are Persians and they tend to despise Arabs and Arab "culture."
It's fascinating to me how various media outlets around the world depicts crimes committed by outsiders. Case in point, American servicemen in Okinawa by the Japanese press. On average, there are 16 sexual assaults reported every day in Japan by Japanese men on Japanese women. In contrast, there are roughly 4 rapes a year committed by American military on Japanese women. Guess which stories get extensive coverage in the media? You bet.....those awful, barbaric American service members. Gotta get em out of there. It's an unsafe environment for Japanese women to live.
Speaking of Muslim men, it is a unique culture. That is true. I've got a few Muslim buddies from Morocco in Oklahoma City. These guys used to hit Bricktown hard and pick up fat, white chicks. Pretty comical. We traveled together around Morocco a few years ago. While in Marrakesh, we were in bar and I spotted a pretty hot Moroccan chick. I pointed her out to my friend and he told me she was without a doubt a hooker. I was shocked. In a Muslim country?
'Oh yeah, this is a Muslim country. In a Muslim country, you can't pick up a Muslim girl and take her home. You either sleep with a hooker, marry her and have sex or you just don't have sex. You cannot sleep with a Muslim girl. Why do you think we love America so much. Over there, you can go into a club and sleep with a girl for free! Those girls just give it away!' LOL
