First Concert and Best Concert

First concert: James Brown at the Bowery in OKC in '85. Can still see the band in those turquoise suits.

Best concert: James Brown at the Bowery in OKC in '85. It's been all downhill ever since.

'85. Was that at the original Bowery location or after they moved to the church basement?

First - Doobie Bros at Tulsa Convenction Center in 1974.
Best - Prince at Phillips Arena in ATL in 2012. Close second was Todd Rundgren and Utopia at the Tulsa Convention Center in 1975.
Honorable Mention - Little Feat in Lloyd Noble Arena in Norman in 1978 or 79?

Best small venue show: Body Count @ CBGB's in 1991 or Front 242 in NYC, 1991. Can't remember the club. Skipped U2 to see 242 and it was a fantastic decision.

Most memorable: Sitting up on the side of the stage watching my buddy's band, god Lives underwater, open for Lords of Acid in 1995. No one knew who GLU was at the time, and they just blew the doors off the place. Lords of Acid and My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult were amazing as well. An unbelievable memory.

I just saw F242 twice finally on their last tour. Good shows.

Ran into Groovie from TKK at a bar in Austin and got to talk with him for a bit. Super nice guy and I think he was just thrilled a guy in a random guy in a bar recognized him and wanted to chat and get a picture.

Nice. I missed 242 when they were in Houston. TKK is awesome live. You never know how many people are going to be on stage with them.

First: Three Dog Night Tulsa Assembly Center 1972

Best: Tough call

Seeing Paul McCartney do all the Beatles stuff was about as cool as it gets.
Simon and Garfunkel at the Cotton Bowl 1983 or 84.
Billy Joel and Elton John when they toured together (Texas Stadium)
Springsteen never disappoints.

First - Kiss in '77 at the Myriad (I think).

Best...really hard to say. April Wine/Rush in about '82 at Lloyd Noble was a good one...Somebody mentioned Loverboy/Kansas in Gallagher - really good. Kansas/Eagles in about '80 was a good one (at the Myriad?). Believe it or not, the Ted Nugent concert in about '79 on the Cat Scratch Fever tour was a good one...

It was good to finally get to see a show at Numbers. It blew away the show they did in San Antonio just because the place was so much cooler.

I've seen TKK so many times I can't even count. They tour a lot.
