So far:
Klimara lost giving up a late reversal.
Heil, Collica, Smith and AD all won.
Rogers lost, but he is so fun to watch. He needs to watch the big moves, but that is also what makes it so entertaining!!

I'm a vegetarian, but I'm ready to through that all away and eat a huge portion crow. I thought and stated that I thought Boyd should go 197. I thought he had zero chance of being in the conversation at 184. I was wrong. He might be my favorite wrestler of all time. If I'm not mistaken he was a walk on. Congrats Nolan!!

Please keep updating for 197 & HWT. It doesn't look like Fox is showing these.

Weigel looked really good all tournament. He showing real improvement in all areas. Always was dangerous on top. Hes gonna need some luck to put up points at the finals but this is proving to be a great learning experience for him. Its a really tough weight but as a freshman I really like his future. Is the future now? Its obvious he is working really hard and gaining confidence. John had a tough choice to make between he and Andrew but Weigel proved him to be right.

AD was frustrated because Weatherman didn't do anything all match and was not hit for stalling at all. I think Weatherman took one legitimate shot all match. The rest was spent tying hands and backing away.

In his post match interview, he said he was not pleased with his performance but said he was ready for nationals.

I feel Alot better about 197 next year after today.

Anyone want to recap on the Millhof-Klimara match? My wife was running a marathon and my 12-year old was running a half-marathon on Sunday in Little Rock, and I couldn't go.

It was obviously close, was there any controversy or anything? Did Klimara just not wrestle well, or was it just a great match?

Thanks.

As the first out of the gate the ref was attempting to ensure that OU won all 10 title matches and thus threw the match to Millhof. Unfortunately he failed to look ahead and see there was no way OU could win 10, so was a wasted effort. ;)

... actually Millhof is a great scrambler and very tough, was a hard fought match and he came out on top.

We needed more refs like him earlier in the tournament, and we would have had ten in the finals!!! :)

I've watched college wrestling for over 40 years, and at it's present state, I can't tell you what is good or bad officiating. It's gotten so technical that to me, the obvious isn't. I will say that I was surprised at the officiating at the just completed Big 12 tournament. It seemed to me that the officials only cared about the 3rd period and let wrestlers coast the first two. I hope that gets taken care of at Nationals.
