Kaden Gfeller loses by fall in 2nd period when he had just gone ahead 6-6 on a takedown. He also had a four point takedown in the first period. Opponent locked him up in a cradle and pinned him. Josh Copeland won his match at 113 15-9 to remain undefeated.

Wrestlers left in the tournament and their record:
88 Billy Simpson 3-1 and in consos
106 Kaden Gfeller 2-1 and in consos
113 Jack Karstetter lost his 2nd match but has 4 wins ?
113 Josh Copeland 4-0 and in championships round
138 Jaryn Curry 3-1 and in consos
195 Dakota Carnes 3-1 and in consos
285 Trenton Lieurance lost his qtr final match by fall and is 2-1 and in consos
285 Nevin Henson 1-1 and in consos.

7 wrestlers left not counting Karstetter and one undefeated in Copeland at 113.

Copeland loses so we have 4 wrestlers in the consolation semi-final
88 Billy Simpson
94 Rhett Golowenski
106 Kaden Gfeller
113 Josh Copeland

Billy Simpson at 88, Rhett Golowenski at 94 and Kaden Gfeller at 106 all won their semi-final consolation matches and all going for third. Copeland lost by fall in his semi conso match to Bryce West of Iowa.

We would have had one more medalist if Daton Fix was there. My understanding is that after the Cadet World's last week he was going to wrestle in a tournament in china.

The three going for 3rd tomorrow could be second as at 88 Billy Simpson's only loss was to Jason Holmes who is wrestling Heinselman of Colorado for 1st. Simpson will wrestle Jared Kosman of Ct. for third. I do not know if they wrestle for true second but if Simpson and Holmes both win they could.

At 94 Rhet Golowenski wrestles Peter Ogunsanya of Il. for third. Golowenski's only loss was to D'Emilio of Ohio who wrestles Nick Aguilar of California and same scenario as in the 88 pound match.

At 106 Kaden Gfeller wrestles D. Mattin of Ohio for third. His only loss was to L. Timmons of Nevada who wrestles Konrath of Indiana for 1st. Again if true seconds are wrestled and Gfeller and Timmons win then Gfeller would wrestle
Konrath of Indiana for 2nd.

At 113 Josh Copeland wrestles Dalton Young of Washington for 5th.

All in all not a bad showing at the lower weights. It is possible to end up with three seconds and a fifth but maybe that is a little too polly-anna-ish.

Oklahoma had 4 medalists in the Cadets. Billy Simpson won 6-5 and took 3rd at 88 pounds. Rhet Golowenski lost and took fourth at 94 pounds. Kaden Gfeller had a tech fall and took third and Josh Copeland took 6th Congrats to all of these wrestlers.
