The building where the shooter was located is literally the closest building to the stage where trump was speaking.

The building was inside 150 yards from the stage. My question: why wasn’t someone with the secret service on top of that building?

Apparently, there were people in the crowd who saw this guy on the roof and tried calling it to the attention of security, but their calls were not dealt with in time.

The guy who noticed this was interviewed on one of the major networks and they thought out loud why they didn’t try to get trump off the stage.

If all of this is indeed true, such information does demand some answers about what was going on from all involved.

Before you jump to a conclusion though (or a particular conspiracy theory), consider it from all sides though. All the possibilities, not just the ones you want to believe to be true.

Or better yet, just don't jump to any conclusions.

No doubt it’s different for a sitting president, but when GHWB visited campus in 1992, there were secret service guys everywhere. Mostly guys in navy blue SWAT fatigues with large binoculars (no visible weapons) scanning all of the buildings along the motorcade route. If they’d had 10% today of what Bush Sr. had that day, the shooter would probably still be alive because he’d have been gang-tackled a half-mile from the site.

Yeah, and one would assume (the key word being assumed) such similar protection would be in place for a former President campaigning to be President again.

I have questions about how long it took to get Trump off the stage, in a vehicle, and away from the scene. The security around Trump didn't seem concerned at all that there could be other shooters as they slowly removed Trump. Is this protocol? Such slow movement of the protectee at a rally when there is a shooting?

Wasn't it requested by the Trump Team for more protection by the SS because of the ramped up Hateful Dim Rhetoric towards him and the Nazis denied that request?
RFK Jr was denied SS protection by Brandon even though his Dad and Uncle was taken out by Gov't Assassins. And don't forget the SS under Brandon could not even figure out how Cocaine got into the White House let alone find out who left it yet they are gonna protect Trump?
Everything about the Commie Dim Brandon Admin is a complete dumpster fire.

What I’d like to know - where the hell were these guys? Too busy surveilling the fAsCiStS in red hats, I guess.

Trump has to supplement the SS with his own security detail. You have plenty of former special forces and seal members that do this. Our CEO has a son that is former special services and he makes his living for hire for security purposes for just about anything. Training, custom built arms, personal protection, threat evaluation, on and on. That one female SS agent tries to unholster her gun twice and could not do it and gave up. Incompetence everywhere. But remember they introduced a bill to take away Trump’s SS detail, they wanted him dead.

The SS guys on the rooftop drew a bead on Crooks for several seconds before shots were fired. Now, that may have been a case of them possibly not certain who Crooks was, and being cautious so as not to kill one of their own. But they clearly had him in their crosshairs and let him get off his shots before they fired back. The SS screwed this one up. I hope it was just a screw up.

He needs this guy on his security team:

What is their engagement orders? Are they allowed to shoot without shots fired? People are asking this question. It is a valid question. And we now have video of bystanders before shots were fired trying to let people know a shooter was on that roof with a rifle.

You want to know why the Secret Service quality suddenly seems diminished?

A DEI hire for the director of SS.

SCREW YOU BRAIN DEAD LIBERALS!

Don’t be a dumbass easily manipulated by Twitter, AC…

Before joining PepsiCo, she served with distinction for 27 years in the U.S. Secret Service, most recently as Assistant Director of the Office of Protective Operations. In this position, Ms. Cheatle managed a $133.5M budget and collaborated with ten operational divisions and the Technical Security Division to research, develop and deploy technologies that reduce risks to protectees, protected facilities, and protected events.

Prior to serving as Assistant Director, Ms. Cheatle served as the Special Agent in Charge of the Atlanta Field Office, providing oversight for all mission related investigations, protective intelligence and protective visits in the state of Georgia.

Ms. Cheatle was appointed to the Senior Executive Service (SES) in February 2016 as the Special Agent in Charge of the James J. Rowley Training Center (RTC). There she directed and coordinated all aspects of training and career development for the organization, later serving as the Deputy Assistant Director for the Office of Training.

Prior to her SES appointment, Ms. Cheatle was the Special Agent in Charge, Office of Strategic Planning and Policy, where she developed and deployed an innovative web-based communication platform designed to promote open and transparent communication within the organization.

Well, I guess in those 27 years of “distinctive service” in learning to develop ways to protect people, protect facilities, and secure events, she never learned to put someone on the top of buildings surrounding key events and people.

But, I guess Pepsi never had one of its leaders shot, so I guess she did a good job there.

FAIL!

Yes, having security at the TPC course in Florida for clients of Pepsi Co is a really security challenged job. They do events/junkets like that, she had a tough job.

This DEI hire is as nonsensical as when W hired the Arabian horses guy to head FEMA, except multiplied by the Avagadro Constant.

Biden only surrounds himself with loyal sycophants, just like the White House doctor who you never hear from Ms. Cheatle was on Joe's VP detail and was one of the female SS agents Joe used to skinny dip in front of. She is very close to the Bidens, this is how she has advanced and got the positions she's had.

Classic example of not what you know but who you know.

This wasn’t just an operational SNAFU, dickbrain. This was a former president and major party candidate almost getting a bullet through his head. Jesus Christ, put at least a modicum of thought into your posts, cretin.

Flounder on, VillageIdiotScott.

If you can, catch Jesse Walters Primetime on FoxNews. Talk about roasting the Secret Service. Long list of Secret Service F ups.

His guest is a former army sniper who is a U.S. representative who is bringing up all the issues that need to be addressed. It’s eye-opening.

Finished by saying “ what does it tell you when Biden says ‘It’s time to put a target on Trump.’ “

Yet, in Biden’s speech to the nation earlier this evening, he brought up Jan. 6 protests, the incident when someone broke into Nancy Pelosi’s house, and the kidnapping plot against the Michigan governor.

But did he bring up his comment?? Did he bring up the violence of the BLM protests??? Nope. If you call on Republicans to be more civil, President Biden, then you should look in the mirror.

Go follow Dan Bongino on Twitter/X. He's a former secret service member and is roasting their response.

And if you notice, the Little Ms DIE Agent on stage appears to be crouching down, instead of shielding President 45/47.

She's also too short to effectively shield Trump even if she were willing to put herself forward as a shield.

3/4ths of the audience would have done a better job than Ms DIE Agent.
