Have Iowa State edging out OK State by a point .. Pic, Fix and G are all ranked #1 in Big 12 but no others. They have Joe at 165 ranked third behind Romero and Stiert at 165, Wyatt #3 at 157, Witlake #7 at 174 and Montalvo #8 at 184, Geer #2 at 197 behind freshman Tanner Sloan of SDState and Putnam #11 at 285. No comment at this point by me as it is way too early and there will be many changes in the lineup before then. Forgot 141 where Brock is #2 behind Demas.

Fun to start getting your head around potential lineups and matchups but as you said it’s hard to project several of these across the board.

I’m also pretty confident Fix will take an Olympic RS.

One thing that struck me as odd was the pick of Tanner Sloan, a redshirt freshman over Geer, but I did some research and Sloan was 25-2 as a Redshirt freshman and and his losses were to Brucki #3 at the time and Dylan Anderson of Minnesota. He also is our Junior world representative at 97kg(213#). Very impressive but I still give the nod to Geer.

I agree. I think Geer will do very well up at 197. He has the length and body type to easily handle the additional weight.

We have some interesting potential roster moves and battles if Fix takes his Olympic. Do Kaid and G both move down? Or does Witcraft come in as a true freshman to wrestle at 133?

I think Balmeceda pushes Sheets for 157 or could Denney be a player?

Great to see Iowa State competitive again. The young guys looked good at the Big 12 last year and they redshirts they had last year will make them competitive. Now we need to step it up another level!

Agreed. Dresser (as expected) was a home run hire for them.
