Am I the only one with crazy uncles? Half my family talks in hyperbole. You don’t think when trump says “I’m polling like no poll has ever polled” he actually thinks that do you? He has Diet Coke Brain and whatever comes to his mind is muddled. But he can still get shit done that regular Americans want done.
If you aren’t on the trump train you don’t understand. I know exactly what he means. “I hire the best people” doesn’t mean he has a spreadsheet of 350 million people with a “best people” score and then he sorts it to hire that person on line one over and over.
It means he has had a lot of success with managers and executives who have accomplished great things for his businesses and he should be trusted to continue that trend.
Has being president lowered his batting average? Absolutely, but he is learning on the fly with the swamp creatures he has access to.
And he is still the better option than Hillary.
If this gets to trump soon, what would say about Republicans in office and those running for both state and federal offices who’ve tied their candidacy to him don’t impeach him?

This question just occurred to me, and it certainly isn’t with starting a thread; what percentage of regular posters on here would regularly do better than Trump on IQ tests?

Jimmy Carter is probably the smartest president we've had in our lifetime and he's viewed as an idiot.
Reagan was never the sharpest knife in the drawer and he's got support from both sides of the aisle as a great leader.
Obama and Trump are a close pick for most clueless when it come to running the country and they both think they are the smartest person in every room.

I think there's a direct correlation personally. It's a huge amount of new information to take in every day. It would be nice to go to sleep at night knowing the leader of the free world comprehends a good chunk of it.
But that's not the society we live in. It's all about who's writers come up with the best cliches and sound bites.
Be great if they held a debate or two Jeopardy style so we could separate the wheat from the chaff early in the election cycle

Yes, I know it’s hyperbole for “I’m great....everyone associated with me is great...ego...ego...ego.” I guess I just don’t get the objection to me criticizing his performance by using the same hyperbole he used himself.
At some point gaffes in hiring decisions like Cohen....Manafort....Omarosa....Flynn...I could go on...has got to bring even your loving Trump translation of what he means into question.
