Is auditing government institutions and discovering fraud and waste and corruption everywhere it looks. It seems no matter how well intentioned things are when government institutions are established they all eventually turn to fraud, waste and corruption. (As an anarchist that does not surprise me, it’s a function of government.). Considering DOGE is a government institution how long do you think it will take before it is also consumed by fraud, waste and corruption? I’ll go first: I give it 3 years before the sleaze settles in.

Well it's only going to be in existence 18 months so we should be good.
What pisses me off is there is no reason we should have to resort to having an agency like DOGE. Congress is the one who is supposed to do this but all of them have their hand in the cookie jar.
Pretty easy, before Trump and Elon, USAID didn't have to answer to anyone but they did have someone telling them what to fo and where to send the money. Hold DOGE accountable and do Audit, if someone is skimming off the top or abusing their position for self gain hold them accountable. Sounds great don't it?

That is great news that it will be around for only 18 months. It might be the first time a government institution shuttered its doors at the appointed time. I’m reminded of the scene in the movie, The Outlaw Josie Wales, when Captain Redlegs says once they dispatch of Wales they can go down into Mexico, lots of rebs for him to chase in Mexico. It’s amazing how government institutions take on an extended life because there’s so much good work still to be done. But who knows? Maybe it will only take DOGE 18 months to rid the entire government of all the fraud, waste and corruption that has built up over the last couple of centuries.
IRS going door to door demanding money is just much more transparent. Great idea!
