So, if they are here illegally, they can't just get in the line to get a green card because well, they aren't here legally. That sounds about right according to our laws. And there is a wait to get a green card because the number of green cards is limited. Sounds reasonable.
Summary, doesn't sound broken to me so far. Anything else broken about it?
Don't hyperventilate. I'm sure his family wouldn't have made that video public had he been killed or now drives his wheelchair with a straw.

I get it just fine. Yes, there are limits on the numbers. That is what the law says. What is broken about having limits on the number of immigrants? I'm pretty sure the US isn't the only country on the planet with limits on numbers of immigrants. Having limits isn't "broken."

Waiting since 1995 and waiting since 2010 is quite a big difference, wouldn't you say? Not to mention what the unequal wait times would be starting today and moving forward.
I am trying to show you how the system is inefficient and outdated. These inefficiencies lead to many of the problems we see today.

So are you saying that there should be no limits to the numbers of immigrants? The availability of green cards (based on limits) is what causes the backlog.

Nope, not saying that at all. I am saying the process needs to be made more efficient and fair. We need to modernize the visa system, etc.
How can it be more fair? How can it be modernized? Don't just blurt out useless talking points. There are a limited number of green cards. Until one opens up, there aren't more and thus the wait. It's the law.

I did read it. And here we go again. The broke part about our immigration system is that it isn't without limits or wait times (they do go together)? It isn't broken unless you believe in limitless visas. So, that brings me back to my original question. What's broken? Or do you believe in open borders that don't acknowledge limited visas?

That article didn't advocate for limitless visas. Nor have I.
Modernizing the visa system does not mean getting rid of the visa system. I've given you a few examples of ways it could be modernized and all you keep coming back with is this limitless visa nonsense (that apparently you want to argue against).
Because I told you I am not going to debate that .gif or video with you. You still don't know who it was that released the video or what happened to that kid. Neither do I. I just don't find it funny.
