When I was a kid in the early 70's I would run down stairs at 7:00 AM to catch the Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Hour. Every now and then there was a cartoon with a weasel that was promised a chicken. He would salivate, slurp and grin with anticipation, only to never get the chicken. It could have been a Bush chicken, a Clinton chicken, another Bush chicken, an Obama chicken or a Trump chicken, but that poor bastard weasel NEVER GOT THE DAMN CHICKEN! So, in short, every time a weasel cartoon came on, I knew he wasn't going to get the chicken. But, every time a new Foghorn Leghorn/ Weasel cartoon came on, I watched thinking he might get the chicken, but he never did.
Great lessons were to be learned watching Looney Toons. The only one that I was able to figure out was never make mail orders to ACME.
