this was interesting...

Several months ago, the 116th Congress was sworn in, and all day long, the media was fawning over the "remarkable diversity" of the new Democrat members. It was a day of "firsts," we were told repeatedly.
While the new Democrat majority offers many members of note, we want to highlight a few "firsts" who are examples of the "diversity" that was sworn in then.

Here are our Top Most "Diverse" House Freshmen:

#1. Ilhan Omar---The first person who married her brother to commit immigration fraud ever to be elected to Congress. Omar is also the first open supporter of female genital mutilation to ever be elected to Congress. Such amazing diversity!

#2. Rashida Tlaib---One of the first Muslim Brotherhood-linked and anti-Semitic candidates to be elected to Congress. She also claims to be a Palestinian – not American.Wonders never cease. Also has potty mouth using the term "mother f***er" for the president.

#3. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez---Where do we even begin? Let's just say she is the first person elected to Congress who lied about being from the Bronx , and thus, made up her life story. She's also an overt Marxist, in case you forgot.

#4. Abigail Spanberger---The first substitute teacher from an Islamist school (nicknamed "Terror High") ever to be elected to Congress.

#5. Donna Shalala---Rep. Shalala was HHS Secretary from 1993 to 2001 under Bill Clinton and worked from 2015 to 2017 at the Clinton Foundation, and in 2016 she admitted in an interview that some significant Clinton Foundation donors received "courtesy appointments" in the Clinton State Department. To top it off, apparently she can't let go of politics: at 78, she's the oldest female House freshman in history.

#6. Krysten Sinema---The first bi-sexual atheist to be sworn into Congress. She refused to take the oath of office on the Holy Bible.

These are just a few examples of the "firsts" that the media has been celebrating. They show an open disdain and animosity for America as we've known it for over 200 years.

Diversity of color scheme!! Hooray!!

They all think exactly the same, there is no real diversity there.

Btw the whole world is eaten up with this crap. Universities and businesses get awards for skin color diversity. They need to be called out for how arbitrary this is. A black person from Tulsa union with upper class parents has the same effect on the score card as someone fresh off the plane from Uganda. How anyone can look at that and applaud these score cards shows how logic is no longer a virtue.

Isn't that an interesting revelation. I guess only white people were listening when MLK said people should be judge by the content of their character and not their skin color. Oh how silly of me, if we judged people by the content of their character we couldn't use race as a political weapon.

I understand what you are saying, but the words in red are a stretch. I have many non-white, close friends who are right-minded on this issue.

As do I and most other people yet according to that chart 52% of black people see skin color over character. That's a major problem and one being exploited for selfish purposes by Democrats. The overwhelming majority of people in this country, regardless of race, only care about the content of another person's character. There are plenty of white people I want absolutely nothing to do with because they are low life POS.

What are my thoughts? I've seen you post this chart in the past and I still don't quite get the context of it. Minorities are more likely to think more about their identity? I don't think that's exactly groundbreaking research. I can't speak for all minorities but I think it's a natural tendency to realize you're the only person in the room that looks like you and where exactly do you fit in said room. Caucasian Americans that have never really been outside of their comfort zone probably don't connect much with this thought process.

On a related note, I have noticed one thing along this line of discussion...….minorities are almost always better at adapting to situations than the majority population. This was especially true in places like Korea and Japan.

Here's a fun experiment.....go up to any woman of color....African-American, East Indian, Vietnamese, you name it....and ask her on a date to, say, the 'Rock of Ages' musical at Lyric Theater, or a hockey game, or a country western concert. If that woman likes you, she will agree to go knowing full well that the crowd will most likely be 99% Caucasian. The makeup of the crowd has never been an issue in these situations.

In contrast, ask a white friend if they would like to attend a Sommore/Earthquake comedy show at the casino or hit the Mexican Dance Hall on 29th street. A whopping majority of the time, whites respond with 'Are you serious? WE'LL BE THE ONLY WHITE PEOPLE IN THERE!' (how many times have we heard that statement). Why would being white have any factor with going to a black comedy club? Generally speaking, Caucasian Americans can be just as conscious of their identity when placed in the right (uncomfortable) situation.

I've done it more times than you could imagine, dozens of them, and had a ball. Never ran into trouble that buying a beer wouldn't solve. Got any more "experiments?".

Have a good friend married to a Mexican women that we used to go to many a Mexican dance with. People were friendly and never had an issue. Haven't been is a few years but they were fun when we were younger.

But how bout the black comedy clubs? ;)

Those Mexicans are a hoot. Amazed at the number of people who automatically think you’re gonna get knifed by a migrant.

Fellas, I respectfully decline to defer to conservatives regarding what's good legislative leadership.

Great point

Democrats want to shut down opposing viewpoints, they want the government to control more stuff, they make up outlandish conspiracy theories to try to scare the populace, they weaponized national law enforcement and intelligence, and they control much of the media. Someone else from history was just like that too...

I know tons and tons of places where it's not good places for white guys to visit. I can start naming them if you like.

I used to know multitudes of places that were no nos for blacks. They've mostly disappeared.

Will your boy Trump have a recrssion like the last 2 republican presidents?

So, back to the question.....

Since everyone LOVES talking about race on here....why do minorities see their race or ethnicity as central to their identity? Would love to hear the majority opinion on this.

Lol! Stop trying to prove this point with me, Mr Koho. I have zero issues hanging with black folk....especially considering who I wake up with every morning.

I’ve given you two examples of places you would never go. A comedy club and church are not examples of how woke you are. I went to an all black church in Stillwater every Sunday for over a year. Hooray me. The fact remains there are places people are not welcome based on skin color. Are you arguing there are more places whites are welcome? Do you have evidence of the math?

Maybe like a rape statistic based on race? Do you have access to some data on that?
