Am I the only idiot still waiting out the Dish/Tribune dispute? I've been with Dish about 10 years but with football season coming up I'm about to give it up and switch to Direct. It's irritating that all of this crap is over a "free" channel.

the issue with switching is that Direct will be in this spot in about 3-5 years also. Just get something that will allow you to get the NBC sports app. I use apple tv but I bet the google product or amazon product will do this and cost less. My wife was the one more concerned but she found away to get the voice when it returns so she is happy. This allows me to keep up the fight with out anyone putting pressure on me to switch. I am happy Dish is fighting because why in the hell do I want an increase on my bill for a free freaking channel. I am more pissed at Tribune and KFOR then I am dish. Hope this helps

I agree with you on Tribune. My big problem is I live in the country so anything streaming is not an option because of crappy internet service. I love living in the country but right now it's still like living in the stone ages when it comes to internet.

Dang they got you in a bad spot then. Also the ten dollar HD antenna won't work either as you are most likely to far out of town.

Tribune and Direct are due for contract in 4 months. It'll happen to them to.

I've been calling and emailing KFOR sponsors. They have been saying they are tired of it as well.

I got an HD antenna, but I can't record anything on KFOR. I'm sick of it.

We ended up buying a good antenna and getting a Tablo (www.tablotv.com). You connect your antenna to the Tablo device and then the Tablo to your network. We have a Tablo app on all of our Apple TVs (I think it does Roku or Fire TV also) and now we have all of our local channels again. It is supposed to have DVR functionality, but we have not tried to use that yet. I'm sure we will once the new shows start up.

It isn't 100% perfect, but it has been pretty good for us so far. Also, except for the enhanced guide feature, you shouldn't need much internet bandwidth at all.

I got an over the air receiver module for my dish dvr...ran the HD antenna cable to that and now its just another channel (004-01 vs 4)...don't have to switch sources & can record on the DVR just like any other channel.

Was getting pissed I'd have to stay up all night and watch the British Open live until I was able to get one of these (dish was out of stock, but found one on amazon)

Thanks. Good tip. The only thing I have to watch on KFOR is the occasional Liverpool game and I watch those live.
