We sit at 7-7 in conference. 4 games left. I think we'll be favored in 3 of the 4.
We must go 3-1 if we want anything better than a 9/10 seed in the NCAA's.
I can't stress how important the game is this weekend.
I honestly thought the energy and defensive focus was good vs ISU. Our offense was good at times and very predictable at other times. We were lucky to be tied at half. We play a good 15 minutes in 2nd half but we missed opportunities to extend the lead and ISU went on the last run when it mattered.
Nash put up some points and hit a few critical shots but overall he made some bad plays that cost us dearly.
I seem to remember a point where we were up 4 or 5 points and we had a fast break, Cobbins was wide open for a pass or alley oop and LB oversthrows him by a mile. ISU ends up hitting a 3 and cutting the lead to 1.
Also, LB's defense on Niang was terrible at the end. Niang took him to school twice.
Still lots of basketball left but I see this team trending to 9-9, 1 and done in big12 and NCAA's unless they kick it back into high gear.
LB, Cobbins, Hickey....THIS IS IT FOR YOUR BBALL CAREERS ON THE MAINSTAGE (maybe LB goes on and finds his way) but this is where they will write their legacy.
