Dems starting to turn on Mueller?

There is an Inspector General working on this and an US Attorney appointed by Sessions (John Huber) too. But, no second Special Counsel like Mueller. I believe the IG can only make criminal referrals but can't prosecute.
In a July 27, 2017 letter, GOP leaders had called on Mr. Sessions to “appoint a second special counsel to investigate a plethora of matters connected to the 2016 election and its aftermath.” These included actions by Hillary Clinton, James Comey, Loretta Lynch and others, email controversies, mishandling of classified information, Fusion GPS and the Steele Dossier, FISA warrants, wire taps, leaks, grand juries, the Clinton Foundation and the Uranium One deal.
Mr. Sessions instead appointed Mr. Huber, “an experienced federal prosecutor,” and left the door open to a special counsel. Mr. Sessions noted that Mr. Huber “will make recommendations as to whether any matters not currently under investigation should be opened, whether any matters currently under investigation require further resources, or whether any matters merit the appointment of a Special Counsel.”
I’m pretty caught up on that. I just think Huber is a more direct solution and less of a leak filled circus than an SC. Let’s see how it all shakes out.
The leak filled circus coming from Mueller's crew is different from what would likely happen if democrats were being investigated. I don't recall many leaks coming from Ken Starr's investigation into Clinton.
There weren't leaks, but there were a lot of telegraphed punches and public updates that allowed the media and defense machine room to maneuver. Huber is not hampered by that stuff. Nor Horowitz. Unfortunately for us curious types, that seems to be the plan. That doesn't mean its a bad plan, but time will tell.
I've never been a fan of unaccountable SC's either way, but in Meuller's case - he has a role to play at this point and in the end, it may prove that SC's rarely provide the results that people who wanted them hope they will.
Not sure how the FBI or DOJ will ever regain the trust of the American people. This is disgraceful to a group that many once thought were of the highest character.
100% agree. This is bad, bad for America’s future if there is zero accountability for what has happened. Obama clearly put his goons in place, politicized the FBI, and they did everything they possibly could to keep a democrat as POTUS.

The reality of that poll is that they have lost faith in previously trusted sources of information and now rate them as no more believable than InfoWars. not the other way around.
In fact, the existence and wording of that Newsweek Poll proves my point pretty damned well. It's part of the same garbage they are responding to and no longer trust.
So people realize they are all at the same level of bullshit. I don't see the problem.
