Dan Is Going To Be Pissed

Poor 2 cents, he believes what the paid mouthpiece Oprah told him when she said he would never vote again if Trump won. Which makes 2 cents bat shit crazy and trying the Reid / Kimmel card to make you feel buyer’s remorse over your vote and warning what “we have done”. He never varies from the extremist DNC talking points.

Like the DNC he will never learn crying fascist and dictator just proves he hates democracy and prefers his hand selected nominees from the liberal elites, people out of touch with the working class.

Trying to make Reps miserable, because libs are always miserable, always pointing out their victimhood, chasing identity politics that makes them far more racist than those they yell racist at.

And so it is here. Those yelling fascist are simply those that want power at all costs, with 2 impeachments, lawfare intended to bankrupt, than imprison, and then finally when all that did not work, killing him. And 2 cents is ok with all that, all in the name of democracy.

The extremist libs are exposing themselves, 2 cents is that. Others are being reflective and realize all the stupid name calling and extreme politics lost them the election.

I suggest as many Reps did in this past election, to just ignore the stupid lib extremists. Let them cry and continue to damage their party to the point the Republican Party has never, ever, received votes across the entire demographic scale of the country.

His political voice is dead, just does not realize it.

I don't know what the heck fascist Trump has planned. But I know it isn't going to end well for the United States, or Americans. Nothing ends well once Trump is done with it. Trump is nothing but chaos.

Sad thing is you'll probably be dead by then so you won't have to give an accounting (in this world) for the destruction you brought upon your own country and the world.

Which, honestly, probably makes you happy. You are a sick angry man who wants the chaos.

Just admit it. Be honest.
It’s time for you to sit back and listen. And keep the name calling up at your own party’s peril. It doesn’t work.

Agree with everything you said but the part about his radical progressive political voice being dead. Yes the radical progressives experienced a set back but do not underestimate their resolve to destroy this country. They've been working towards this goal since the early 1900 and they are not going to stop just because of an election loss. The will return but this time they will be more underhanded and less truthful about their desires.

I'm fine with @my_2cents @my__2cents continuing to claim the 'fascists' beat him. The lack of intelligence and humility only ensures continued losses for the left.

Even Carville and Clinton are starting to sound the alarm that the left needs to drop the insults and identity politics. Seeing countless libs lament "I don't recognize this party anymore".

America is MAGA now. Fascists need not apply.

You're right and so is @Sunburnt Indian

Not only is my ability to reach these people inadequate but why would I want to?

If you still think Trump is Hitler I'm not the one to change your mind.

One of my lib friends (he's a HS buddy, so it's a hard tie to break) is melting down. He has cut off everyone he thinks voted for Trump and is considered relocating to Portugal. Other lib friends in the same circle are concerned about the situation. And I'm not trying to stop him.

Libs are choosing the most rational option for themselves, it is sad they choose to check out of society, family, and friends because their WHOLE identity is caught up in selfish identity politics that is a religion with a 100% purity test. I am glad to see Libs take this option over suicide. The least disruptive option would be to seek counseling, and not the lib "counselors" telling you to cut-off everyone in your life that voted Trump. Go make yourself more depressed. Crazy huh? Dim religion over family and friends. Sad.

Honestly, if someone really thinks Trump and his supporters are fascists at this point, you cannot reason with them. You just gotta hope they eventually see enough good happen in this country over the next 4 years and wake up.

Like you I dispute the notion that Trump and his acolytes are fascists in the Nazi sense, but there can be little argument that the Trump/MAGA/Republican industrial policy (which is thoroughly embraced by JD Vance, and which I fear is the topic in which he will be put in charge) is very close to Mussolini's economic fascism. I honestly don't know how anyone who claims to be an advocate for individual freedom, the mantel of which most of the MAGA crowd claims to shoulder, can listen to Trump swear any company that does not heel to his demands will pay a very dear price and cheer.

But what are his demands? "Put America first." Isn't that the right expectation of the US Government for companies that want to participate (and get rich off) the US consumer? And he's not outlawing companies from performing otherwise. Your products may be subject to tariffs if you choose to not manufacture them in the US and employ US workers, but that's not the same as eliminating individual freedom or choice.

What potential price are these companies going to face?
Do you view tariffs as a price to pay? If so that is BS, these companies have the freedom to keep exploiting foreign workers and the lax employment/environmental regulations if they wish. They also have the freedom to avoid those tariff by bringing their manufacturing back to the US.
Would you support eliminating all the US worker protections and benefits they have earned over the decades to level the playing field with other countries? Or do you support these protection and benefits? If you support the protections and benefits of US workers you should support doing everything possible to protect their jobs from unfair labor practices of other countries. Yes it's quite the quandary.

The right expectation that American citizens should have for their government is to be left alone to live our lives as we choose. I think you’re a little confused on what that means if you expect the government to dictate how the owners of property must use it.

Here’s an interesting thought. I suspect most people who support Trump’s tariffs also are against the government imposition of unions, requiring companies to use union labor. The rise in power of unions is somewhat a factor in why some American companies have relocated their manufacturing elsewhere. So Trump’s tariffs may force those companies to be fed through the union meat grinder. They may decide the American market of 300 million may not be worth the hassle when there is a world market of a couple billion out there.

Everything I buy thats made in China is complete garbage and lasts a very short time before it breaks or is defective right out of the box.

Please quote where they dictate how the owners of property choose to use it. You are making an argument against something that doesn't exist.

Are you conflating the right to have a union, with a government mandate to use one? I suspect most of the posters on this board would state that employees have a right to form a union, but the government should not have the right to mandate one. If you are looking for argument against the latter, you are probably on the wrong forum.

No, I’m not confused between right to work and mandated unions. Think of it like this: China and India are homes to something like 2 1/2 billion people. In all likelihood there is a larger market for products between just those two countries alone than the USA provides. If the intention of Trump’s tariffs/trade war is to force manufacturing back to America where products would become more expensive, thus reducing the world-wide market share for those companies, they may decide to forgo the expense and never-ceasing conflict with American unions and opt to stay where they are.

Not at all. One of the supposed good things about living in America is we have private ownership of property. To own something means one can do with it what he pleases; he either owns it or he doesn’t. When the government steps in and mandates what he can do with it his “ownership” is forcibly taken away from him and transferred to the government. I hate to use the word, but that’s economic fascism, not private ownership. Telling a company it has to make its products in America or face consequences from the government if it doesn’t is a slow roll down the path to serfdom.

Everything I buy thats made in China is complete garbage and lasts a very short time before it breaks or is defective right out of the box.
That’s baloney, the same argument made against Japanese products in the 60’s.

Short version is you're cool with slave labor if it gets you want you want cheaper. We know. You've posted that before. No need to explain further. You're for "Free(dom) for Me, But not for Thee." See how much shorter your slogan is without the unnecessary prolixiferation (🤣) in your above post?
