I saw someone say it a couple days ago on my Spurs board and I just thought they were being goofy.
But now the Dallas SB Nation site has a whole report on it and even Schefter talked about it on his webcast.
It looks like everyone, included Jerrah, expected McCarthy back. What isn't certain yet is what exactly made MM tell Jerrah to shove it. Could have been a short-term contract or a demand that he bring in Witten as an OC (I've seen both said).
Anyhoo, it all makes total sense with denying the Bears request and the goofy timing of it all; and I am loving it.
