Cowboy RTC and the next quad

was it ever classified as a violation? Did the NCAA ever investigate? Did other programs join PSU in building an RTC shortly thereafter? Maybe the bias is with you.
You didn't refute what I said. I'll repeat, if you can only come up with one plausible explanation, it's because your thinking is limited.

Read the findings on OSU probation, Iowa was doing the same at the time. They didn't change the rules. Iowa went beyond that level and then PSU took it to a new level. The NCAA evidently just decided they no longer cared or at least didn't care about non-revenue sports. And plenty of coaches knew exactly what PSU was doing.

...we were "out" and now we are "in" and may the best team win...there just takes some more time to make sure our cylinders are filled or being filled...OSU carried the flag and support of wrestling nationally/internationally for almost 100 years...but '"sharing" will be soon in disregard...best to all.............rs

Apparently not. Never once did the NCAA blink at what Cael was doing, so the only conclusion is that it wasn't even close to a violation. I'm happy you guys have a growing RTC but don't rewrite history. Nothing Cael did was wrong, and when other programs followed suit, they did nothing wrong either. John just wasn't in the "building" mode as he got older. It happens in all walks of life. DT was hired to build what John did not have the energy to do. And before I am criticized, I have spent a couple decades building businesses, but at 61, even I am slowing down. Stuff happens in life.
Just because certain folks claim Penn State was participating in illegal activities does not make it true. Just because certain folks claim Cael did nothing wrong does not make that true either. The burden of proof however lies with the accuser. OSU is in a great place now, I would prefer to focus on the present and future.

We were paralyzed from heavy handed sanctions given to us by the NCAA, and we could not/would not overcome them. It was past time for John to go. The sanctions given to us were not the norm and caused everyone in the business to walk on egg shells. We needed new blood to get past the fears and trepidation. After 30 year, we were still seeing through ancient lenses. We needed a new, clearer perspective. It’s been refreshing to say the least.

In John’s defense for his fear, it was like getting a serious spanking from the neighbors drunk Dad for playing ding-dong ditch.

The main infraction was reimbursement for a transmission and a plane ticket to see a sick family member if I recall correctly?

It’s very simple to expect a much more severe punishment for stuff perceived to be foul.

Jax did a short interview with SI. He's already benefiting from Coach Roper's influence (quote below). He also mentioned some training partners in his prep for Vito, and Fix isn't listed among them. Hopefully Fix's knee gets better soon.

"... coach Lee Roper has been so helpful with that in making sure I'm still hungry and not satisfied while still being grateful and humble."
