Cop shoots austistic man's caretaker

Somebody called 911 and reported a man was threatening to shoot himself? Was it a different guy than this? Was it a false report in the first place?

It was, they had mistaken the toy truck for a gun. Kid is severely autistic, even told Kinsey to shut up at one point during the exchange before he was shot.

This looks pretty clear. This would appear to be something BLM should get behind, unlike certain others.

Well this is going to get some more cops killed. Sadly, it perfectly fits the narrative that cops are looking for any excuse to smoke a black guy. It's still an anomaly but it'll be huge news and people will get shot again.

Cops get shot all the time. It's when cops don't go to jail for egregious errors that people get mad and retaliate against "authority" that doesn't respect its boundaries.

I ain't advocating violence either...it doesn't solve anything. But people should rightly be pissed off at bad police work - and it's not an anomaly it's an epidemic in this country, unfortunately. When many cops were nothing more than the small town jock who could run fast and learned how to shoot, the "narrative" has played out often enough to be a problem.

Epidemic? Like the flu or measles?

Cops get shot "all the time"?

Just part of the job I guess.

WTF? What an effed up thing to say in passing as if it's no big deal....the epidemic is bad police work.

Yes, let's stereotype the cops as small town jocks and, in doing so, imply that people from small towns are racists. That's sure to get people on your side.

One of your all-time worst posts...and you've had some shit posts.

Jd stop pretending you know about the po leese and live in (clinton's) reality.

People are getting tired of cops shooting unarmed people. When you act above the law, people are gonna knock you back down a few pegs.

It's certainly a problem on both sides, but yet again - more Blue Silence BS...Miami Dade police are defending this punkass to the end, and they're toeing the line of media sensationalism so they can deflect from their mistakes. It's not just the stupid decisions by cops...it's the dumbass blind loyalty cops hide each other behind.

Until you see cops going to jail for their own crimes, more cops will wind up dead. Sorry not sorry - it ain't gonna be me, but you can get its gonna happen again because of crap like this.

What are the odds of being shot by a police officer in this epidemic?

So, police officers should only shoot armed people? What about someone who may be armed, doesn't follow commands, and then reaches for something. Should the cops have to wait for verification, like when the suspect pulls out a gun and fires on them? At what point does the suspect become accountable?

Hey Clinton, quit walking into rooms, taking a shit, and then walking out. What is your solution?

To me, there's very little nobility about being the town bully. Many a cop exude this character type, and lie, cheat, steal and kill.

You needed to be spanked more as a child.

My dad was a machinist, he used to make wood paddles at work to bring home. I got spanked plenty if I acted up. I also did my homework and made good grades.

I've always been yes sir no sir with police...you obviously don't get it.

The acts of a few do not make the acts of many.

There are thousands upon thousands of good, loyal, trustworthy cops. People like you and the media cling on to the bad eggs for no other reason than to make a seen. Law enforcement is like any other profession. There are tons of people who are honest, hard-working people who enjoy their craft, but there is always a few bad ones floating around.

There's more than a few bad ones, man...they're all over the place. Money is the root of all evil - and a lot of evil cops out there are looking for it.

I know there

I agree that there are "more than a few"...I've been involved in putting quite a few in jail.

At the same time, "all over the place" misstates the extent of the problem as much if not more than "a few".

I don't like cops, never have, but I'm not disrespectful to them.

And I'll tell ya right now...just about every black guy I've ever known lives in fear of police. Even black politicians in DC get pulled over and profiled for no reason other than skin color. It's called white privilege. Cops assume the worst in blacks. And I don't see that changing anytime soon, so just expect more retaliation. When justice isn't served, people have always taken the law into their own hands.

For as crazy as this board wants to believe I am, you ain't gonna see me on the news taking out a cop. It's kinda pathetic how often that word gets thrown around actually.
