Not exactly a celebration, but he didn't have to say anything.

their not called libtards on account of same genious
I prefer a CIC who acts on his own volition versus one that is a robot following junior staffer's recommendations, regardless of the issue.
I can assure you that if this were Obama, the media would be lauding his "diplomacy".
There is nothing to see here other than the CIC ignoring a 23 year old's recommendation.
What a child we have in the White House. Telling him not to do something is the surest way to get him to do it...

I am sure many here will be more outraged that this was leaked than the fact that he congratulated a despot on winning a sham election and totally ignored the issue of attempted assassination of a political enemy on British soil.

I'm gonna put this perfect microcosm of the MAGA crowd's political speech in my sig when I have the time:
Is it your belief that this was the first instance of Russia purportedly poisoning someone in London or other foreign locales under Putin?Let’s say you’re POTUS. After hearing news of a former Russian spy being nerve gassed in England, and the political opposition in Russia being taken out by force. Would you congratulate Putin?
Oh wait...you’re not deeply financially connected to Moscow, like Humpty Trumpty...
*democratically elected leader of Venezuela
Also can you link me to the instance of celebration you are referring to?
If it was so numerous it shouldn't be hard to find one example.http://thehill.com/policy/internati...ple-on-election-notes-differences-with-chavez

Your memory must be short if you don't recall the numerous times Obama and his administration fawned over Hugo Chavez and his socialist regime.
If it was so numerous it shouldn't be hard to find one example.
You gave me one where Obama congratulated the people on having an election though he had concerns about who they elected. Then you gave me one about Obama smiling with Chavez in a photograph and having the nerve to shake his hand.I gave you two and tried avoiding those articles from sources you would disagree with on principle. If you need more, feel free to use Google yourself. There's hundreds if not thousands of associated links.
Ah yes because the circumstance is identical. You usually don't fail this hard.@davidallen can google get those archived posts of you calling Obama a child when he did this?
The facts as I under stand them-What facts are we discussing here? The difference between providing advice and giving orders?
The facts as I under stand them-
Despite the evidence of a(nother) Russian assassination attempt on foreign soil and the advice of his national security team - Trump legitimizes Putin's sham election congratulating him on his "victory".
What facts are you disputing?
pwned.I disagree with these facts. The president called and congratulated Putin on his victory, even if it was a sham election, just like many presidents have done before him. I've provided examples of Obama congratulating both Hugo Chavez and Putin in prior elections, and it wasn't nightly news fodder. But thanks to TDS, suddenly it matters.
NopeI've provided examples of Obama congratulating both Hugo Chavez
Which of these assertions do you dispute?I disagree with these facts.
Which of these assertions do you dispute?
- Trump congratulated Putin
- Putin's election was a sham
- Russia recently attempted an assassination in Britain
- Trump was advised by his national security team not to congratulate Putin
How would he know what a president does or doesn’t do?
I laughed.
How would he know what a president does or doesn’t do?
How would he know what a president does or doesn’t do?
Because the media hates Trump. Why the F is this a story?
I bet you’re a big Macron fan.Because Trump is a Putin puppet and a fool who won’t listen to the advice of those around him. It’s just yet another look at how stupid he is. Not the biggest blunder yet, won’t be the biggest - he’ll certainly do something even more stupid.

How do you explain the Putin man crush?Trump is a lot of undesirable things - narcissist, asshole, womanizer, pathetic role model, poor leader, childish, and the list goes on.
One thing he definitely isn't is someone else's puppet.

Let me guess...Russia? No wait, they gave to the Clinton Foundation. He needed loans. Who do you think eventually started giving them to him?

I'm far more concerned about Trump's potential ties to the Russian mafia than his potential ties to Putin. Largely because the former is much more likely than the latter.
I think the line between Putin and Russian organized crime may not be as clear cut as your question contemplates.
