Sweet Lou DP is sick to his stomach with the rumor info he has received. It’s all bad and it seems to me there is entirely no reason to keep Gundy. Hope it’s not true!
First off, our first choices of OC’s would probably have come. They were nixed by the powers that be for, let’s say, character issues. Meach was the safe play.
Secondly, of our 8 $500,000 yearly NIL guys, half are now not on board as long as Gundy is around. Our NIL money is less than half of what we had a year ago.
Third…there are allegedly multiple issues occupying Gundy’s mind and least two of them would severely hinder one’s focus on doing their job. One is normal life stuff, but the other is uniquely horrible. If true, it is so bad he should have been summarily fired for his actions. It doesn’t seem like there is any gray area. It’s so bad, that if true, in my opinion, people could get relieved of their positions for NOT automatically firing him.
The news seems all bad and I hate that we seem headed to a dead year at a crucial time in college football.
