Sorry if this has been posted already. Winning just sucks, right?
I would love to hear from our lib friends how this is not a good thing.
Pulls too many people off welfare. Libs want poor people, especially black poor people to remain poor so they can offer them free shit so they can keep getting votes.

For government programs, the net is terrible. The ROI would be in the negatives for sure. I’m sure you would approve more if it were Obama or Hillary proposing though...go team and all.We need to go back and see how previous pledges worked out. What is the net on these programs? Anybody know or care? Or are we just celebrating the PR moment?
Not really. This is just political grand standing regardless of party it is utter bullshit. For government programs, the net is terrible. The ROI would be in the negatives for sure. I’m sure you would approve more if it were Obama or Hillary proposing though...go team and all.
I remember your posts on this board when your team did it. Oh wait...Not really. This is just political grand standing regardless of party it is utter bullshit.
Your memory sucks then.I remember your posts on this board when your team did it. Oh wait...

So do we give the credit on Foxconn to Obama as the investment in that plant is based on commitments from Tech Libtards like Tim Cook from 8 or so years ago? Just wondered what the calculus is here...Well one thing is for sure, the Foxconn pledge is 100%. Have to start somewhere.
** oh and if the numbers are true and what all the libs are saying about needing more people in the US because there are more open jobs than people... I would guess that many more pledges will work out.

I have not necessarily given credit to anyone, just glad this is happening. Been a long time since the American workers have had something to be happy about.
No idea who Tim Cook is though and not even sure I really care.
No idea who Tim Cook is
Your party is putting a lot of eggs into "universal income." Hell, even 0bama was just blabbing about it. Let that marinate for a bit.Not really. This is just political grand standing regardless of party it is utter bullshit.
Nah, just celebrating a big moment for one of my teams/customers...Don’t you have 5 billion dollars worth of hours to bill?
My party? Good luck with that line of reasoning.Your party is putting a lot of eggs into "universal income." Hell, even 0bama was just blabbing about it. Let that marinate for a bit.
Are you proposing that training associates at Wal-Mart is a new thing? Is it the responsibility of the POTUS to talk businesses into planning strategically how they will staff? Were there commitments to purposely train skilled workers in crafts? What did obama do to get poor minorities trained up on skilled labor? What investment in his people did he make?
Huh? Are you drunk? My party? Good luck with that line of reasoning.
As to UBI - you'll be on board in the next decade or so, hell you'll be out front of the crowd carrying a sign.
Of course. It’s the fun David.Huh? Are you drunk?
There are plenty of people available to take some of the jobs without importing any. Reality is they won't move to where the jobs are and don't want the jobs if it involves work. Supposed the $25 billion appeared to build the wall. How many able bodied unemployed section 8 denizens would move to Del Rio or Presidio or Yuma or Nogales as laborers? Few.Well one thing is for sure, the Foxconn pledge is 100%. Have to start somewhere.

I might be by evenings end, but stone cold sober right now.Huh? Are you drunk?

SMH at what a simpleton you have become. Critical thinking on your part left the building once Obama was gone, though in hindsight that really wasn't critical thinking - it was more of the same parroting the party line.
Were there commitments to purposely train skilled workers in crafts? What did obama do to get poor minorities trained up on skilled labor? What investment in his people did he make?
Uh, thanks for David's lecture on adulting, I guess?I might be by evenings end, but stone cold sober right now.
How confident are you either that your career is future proof and/or you have the willingness and ability to continue learning to stay relevant in an ever advancing world? If so, then kudos to you. The vast majority of people have no idea what is coming in the next several decades.
I will be in town for the Tech game... I'll wave to you from midfield, just give me a hint where you will be sitting.Uh, thanks for David's lecture on adulting, I guess?
My career is future proof. Dead and dying people don't exactly drive themselves to the hospital and deliver healthcare to themselves. In addition, you techie dorks don't have a monopoly on innovation.
I'm more than well positioned for future changes in my profession and healthcare in general. I create my own relevance. In fact, if you visit Boone Pickens this season for a football game, you'll actually see my fingerprints all over the emergency services part of the game day experience. If you're interested, I'll hook you up with the guy in charge that I spent several years training. The fan experience for OSU Athletics has changed for the better thanks to an OU guy. How cool is that?
So, about your party pushing the idea of universal income, your thoughts?
Watched it to the end... funny how he waited to the last little bit to turn to the common folk in the room no?I don’t think you watched the video but the larger point of what a president is supposed to be fingering was forsaken a long time ago. Your new found idealism is cute though.

Right, they did so on their own, at the behest of their employer, and on occasion through a gubment sponsored program. Which are we celebrating ITT?I agree, my edit was mostly to see what might be said by the other group.
I thought that innovation has increased by 1000% (a bunch anyway) over the last 75 years. How did everyone adapt? People used to deliver Ice to homes. There were many more farmers. Did chainsaws and mills increase or decrease the need for people to cut down trees? Probably very bad points, but it kind of makes sense, right? People learned to do new stuff..
