Having lived in SC in the 80s, I can tell you that intelligence inequality in that state is comparable to the income inequality between Musk and the rest of us. Wizard of Smart Clyburn named his daughter Mignon as in Filet Mignon.

I was an army brat. I lived in SC prior to age 6. As a "professional tourist" I used to dine at a truck stop in Cowpens, SC. They served a wonderful chicken fried steak. I had a rule. No chicken fried steaks outside Texas or the Nations.

I once stopped at a truck stop in Idaho. The sign said WE SPECIALIZE IN CHICKEN FRIED STEAKS. I took a chance. It wasn't fit to eat.

East TN is paradise but there is a place in this world for the beach and low country cuisine.
