China- More of a military threat then we are led to believe?

They were helping Korea when communist took over. N Korea always has been ruled by Koreans.
You didn't say rule you said attack and they damn sure attacked South Korea. Communist Chinese are evil. They've committed mass genocide and continue to this day.

If “freedom’s just another word for nothing left to lose” does that mean North Koreans are freer than South Koreans?
No ofcourse not. They are under miserable condition. Korea was under french rule when communists started their movement. France asked US to help them. At least read history. They were under colonial rule not free then communists came on one side and US on the other. Chinese came to help the communists. You still have a large army sitting there. Are the Chinese there on the other side.

I believe you are referring to Vietnam, which used to be French indo-china, I don't believe Korea was ever under French rule

You are right. It was under Japan. Then taken over by US and Soviet union. Sorry for incorrectly stating. For a moment I got confused.
China was not part of taking over north. But came to their aid later.

100% FALSE!!
Actually I think he was correct, after WW2 Russia was "given" the North to administer and the US was given the South....when the North attacked they took over 95% of S. Korea all except the Punsan Perimeter....the UN forces entered and pushed them all the way North almost to the Chinese boarder, then the Chinese entered the war and pushed us back down....then Stalemate
