I think China has passed us on missile tech, germ warfare as well as tech warfare. Yes our navy is strong and our air force is top notch but if they can shut systems down and cause mass shutdowns on our systems do they need to use ships or planes? Their hacking force is the best in the world IMO.

Do you think this is one reason they have grown in influence in the world? Xi is very cunning and has bit of that conquer vibe to him.

I think they let NK kick off the war once we Ukraine, Taiwan

I think we are seeing an end to the golden age and War is on the horizon.

If China ever takes Taiwan, life as we know it is over.

I wonder if anyone ever thinks to himself that NeoCon military alarmism is the same type of hoax that the Climate Alarmists use: be afraid, be very afraid and let the government take care of it.

I missed the stuff were China is stronger then us everything I read seems to dismiss this notion?

China is a threat, probably more so than Russia, but we still have a decisive advantage for now. One example is 5th generation tactical aircraft. The J 20 is their 5th generation air superiority fighter, their counter to the F-22. AS they are now entering service, we are starting to take some F-22s out of service, we are in the process of retiring 32 block 20 F-22s. WE are in production of our first 6th Generation aircraft, the B-21 and I would not be surprised if we are in production of the NGAD, our first 6th generation air superiority aircraft. It will be to the F-22 as the F-22 was to the F-4, an incredible jump in technology.........WE have been , so far, the only country with the resources to continually stay ahead with emerging technology on a production scale. Other counties have aircraft with close to the capabilities of the F-22 /F-35, but they don't have the resources to mass produce them. If they do mass produce them, we will just leap forward again and make them obsolete, they cannot afford to have that happen.

I would like to know some specifics about the Chinese threat. When specifically did China do something militarily that threatened the United States? Where specifically did this happen? What specific thing did China do that threatened the United States?

So the guy over training every day in mixed martial arts, running and lifting like crazy, putting on his brass knuckles and glaring in your direction is not a threat til you've lost 8 teeth and full consciousness?

You are entirely unequipped to rationally assess anything regarding international military conflict.

Why so scared of the Chinese? You should be scared of the Walton family.

That’s an interesting way to look at it. Do you suppose it’s possible that the USA is the guy in your scenario?

I want to ask a real question UK. If they turn off the power at home and wipe out the US with an EMP in a surprise attack what do all them aircraft really do. I think some lessons were shown in Ukraine and Russia thinking they had enough aircraft to just blow them away. China is huge then you better be ready for all out nuclear war. They can make a guy like Biden, Trump, Obama, Clinton, Bush you get what I am saying bend the knee so to speak. I don't know I think the military is in a bit of disorder and man China would win right now.

Do you believe a sneak attack EMP would wipe out even a majority of US defensive capabilities? In what way is the US military in disorder/unable to fulfill their mission?

My question is do they have to wipe out our defenses? Did we invade and whip Japan in WW2? No we drop a jaw dropping completely devasting bomb on them. So China drops a germ in the US. I bet that would be handled great by our leaders in Congress and the POTUS house. I think intellectually China was passed us and with what they have are better trained. Debating this makes me paranoid?

My concern with a war with China is that we are forced to spread ourselves too thin. A likely war would be in Asia, but the US has to cover Australia, Japan, Korea, India and a number of other allies throughout the region as well as maintaining security for Hawaii, Alaska and the West Coast. Our technological advantage would be spread thin and then squashed by the sheer number of competing Chinese forces.

If you didn't who did? I agree that an invasion of Taiwan would be a traumatic event, but the end of life as we know it seems a bit extreme.
A foreign policy expert spoke at the OBR recently. The consequences would be that the US would no longer control the seas. It would disrupt supply chains and travel . The US would would lose its status in the world. Would have drastic trickle down effect on the rest of our lives. I will try to find his name. He actually said good things about the Biden administration with respect to policies it has in place to deal with China.

China has never attacked a country in its history

Tell me how the US control of the seas is related to Taiwan if you can. That seems a pretty big leap.
I did not ask that question. I assume because it would mean China’s Navy kicked our ass.

All of our important defensive systems are shielded against EMP........I don't think we will be in an all out war against China......we may be involved in a conflict, such as the defense of Taiwan, but, I do think it would be in both sides best interest to keep it regional.

I'll take Tibet for $1,000 Alex.

Who knows what China can & can't do really. One thing is 100% certain, if we quit buying all their junk it would crush their economy. They have never performed an amphibious landing to take control of territory & would be incredibly vulnerable in that stage.

They would be the easiest antagonist ever to crush without firing a shot...quit buying their shit! Corporations need to move out of the country go to Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines etc etc., they can not survive that hit to their economy.

Why would they start a war anyway since they can just pay off & bribe their way to dominance hell look at many of our own corporations & parasitic whore politicians. It would be infinitely easier to cut off all sea trade with china than visa versa. There are scumbag americans acting as fronts for them to buy US land, sickens me.

Can't imagine their "aircraft" carriers are that efficient either even Rueters is hammering them https://www.reuters.com/world/china...rical-role-pose-little-threat-yet-2023-05-05/

When the CCP decided to invade part of Vietnam in February of 1979 they were absolutely thrashed at first by reservists & then regulars who were either in Cambodia (or might have been Laos) who reversed course & went to battle.

In their entire history. Mongols, British and Japanese attacked them. Taiwan like Hong Kong was part of China.
Geez, Taiwan was NEVER part of communist China! If you want to go down that road then its time to let India take Pakistan back since Pakistan was part of India for 300 years prior to the partition in 1947.
