What a social injustice!!! So, will 2019 be the year that one of the alarmist predictions finally comes true?

I know I know! It’s almost like, they were going down during the “worst President ever”, and now MAGAman’s extensive deregulation caused the new rise.

Truly making America great again!

Trump causes increase in CO2 because he’s pro-coal yet coal plants closed in 2018 resulting in a steep decrease in the use of coal.

They went up because the economy.

"Finally"

Dunning Kruger is a real thing. Ask your plumber if you don't believe me.
So which one will we be scratching off the list this year? Or are we in for a more than one type scenario?

More heat records? More shrinking artic?

I don't know, nothing can be believed the only people we can listen to are the uninformed. And the science changed over 50 years. And an editorial in a local newspaper said there'd be an ice age. At least that was your position when we last engaged on this topic. I'm good.

Yeah, that wasn't an editorial in a local paper even though it was written like one. That was actually "science" done by your boy Obama's climate czar, Mr. James Hansen himself.

It's really weird. You lefties act like the religious right does about god and the bible. You better believe us. The earth will go to hell if you don't. We predict all kinds of stuff that doesn't actually happen, but it can if you keep on not believing us.

Tell me something, sys. If Mike Gundy told you every year that his OSU football team would for sure win the Big 12 while going winless for 10 years straight, would you believe him when he says his team would for sure win the Big 12 before season #11? Isn't it reasonable to expect him to actually win some games before giving him your full faith?

For the record, that local newspaper just happens to be TIME Magazine, and it was done back when they were considered the gold standard for news mags. But don't let #facts get in the way. That said, Republicans should look on the bright side. If Dems ever enact their full environmental agenda, then our economy won't attract an illegal immigrant from anywhere in our hemisphere.

Funny thing, libs would totally be for destroying the US economy if it meant a ‘win’ for CO2 emissions.

Ya know, because science.

You're wrong it wasn't time, it was something else.

Cutting edge discoveries and advancements in science are supposed to change and improve. You know this, like in medicine. But in climate science you act like if they didn't have everything figured out decades ago, they dont get to keep working. It's such a stupid point.

funny thing, cons would totally be fine with destroying the environment if it meant a "win" for their own bank account in the short term.

Washington Post Times Herald. Local newspaper...

Of course they get to keep working. But seriously, why all of the alarmist claims? If people are going to make alarmist claims, shouldn't they be expected to be somewhat accurate? You know the answer as well as I do. Fear mongering sells and the uninformed people buy. And the reason you cap it off with "the science is settled" and "climate change deniers" is to solidify the narrative to create a strong belief that can be manipulated without consequence. Religion has been doing this kind of stuff since the beginning of religion.

Link has a copy of the full article from TIME magazine. Called: "Another Ice Age?" If you didn't know it was written in 1974, it would take changing about 4 words to make it sound exactly like a current article. BTW, I love the last sentence: "I don't believe the world's present population is sustainable if we have more than 3 years like 1972 in a row."
