I know this will never actually happen, much like Texas didn't leave when Obama was elected. However I'm really not seeing how losing California would be a bad thing. I'd actually love to see them do it because I have almost no doubts they would fail miserably. It's a huge collection of weirdo's and half wits. I'd be willing to move out there, register and vote just to make sure it happens.

I would be worried about losing the ports that accept international goods.

I think it would be a good gesture if white liberals in California decided to emigrate to Mexico so all of the illegals could stay here.

I hope so. They'd lose all federal aid for all their illegals and leeches. They'd have to get rid of their silly environmental laws which thwarts them from drilling, farming, etc., since they will need as much revenue as possible. They'd have to redo all their pension plans with their grandiose and lavish payouts since money going to fund those would have to go to offset the lose of federal revenue. It would be a cluster.... of epic magnitude. Ergo, do it. Oh, the remaining states could erect immigration barriers to prevent the looney libs remaining from fleeing to and infesting the other 49 states.
