I am no expert at shooting the basketball but was taught that my right elbow needs to be pointed towards the basket when shooting, as a right hander.
His right elbow seems to be inconsistent at it’s placement when shooting and would think that would affect his consistency.
I remember Rutherford shooting thousands of shots with some contraption on, that keep his arms in the same position to increase his consistency.
I am sure the young man has forgot more basketball than I ever knew but his shoot looks like it needs tweaking to me.
